I think He will let them out of hell eventually.

It's interesting, isn't it. I've given this one a whole lot of thought throughout the years. Now, the idea that after we die we face all of the ways in which we hurt other people makes sense to me, a sort of purification of the soul, if you will. Obviously, some people have more to answer for than others. But I have a really hard time with the notion that we ought to torture ANYONE for all eternity. Even Hitler and his crew don't deserve more than having to live through the pain and suffering of each person whose lives were destroyed through their actions. And what then? If they feel bad for it after they've been through it, then they are cleansed and can go on to whatever else God has in mind. If not, maybe just let them cease to exist. Any God who would burn someone for all of eternity is not a loving God, in my book.
Mind you, I'm not God, I'm guessing there may not even be a God, and if there is, whatever the purpose is behind all of this is so way beyond any of us that if we do have immortal souls, will no doubt be completely flabbergasted at the end of it all.
Update: So some of you really think that doubting the existence of God is on a par with being Hitler? Wow. And the Columbine shooters really deserve to be tortured for all of eternity? Really? My goodness, I'm glad you people aren't in charge of the justice system. Never mind the fact that Christianity has implied that Hitler and the Columbine shooters could have gone to heaven if they had repented before they died. Is that okay with you? Because repenting doesn't take away what they did. This seems like the ultimate maddness to me.

Where does the Bible say that God is "infinitely forgiving"?
His patience with us WILL come to an end.
"Know this first of all, that in the last days, mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.' For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the Heavens existed long ago and the Earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But by his word, the present Heaven and Earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of Judgment and the destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord, one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing any should perish, but for all to come to repentance."

God is forgiving....where did you come up with infinitely???? God will forgive anyone on earth who comes to Him with repentance in their hearts. God knows the motives.
As far as letting people out of hell.....they wouldn't be truly repentant...they would be sorry that they got caught or didn't do anything about their salvation sooner.
It is just like with our kids..... They say they are sorry for doing somehting, but they are not.....they are sorry that they got into trouble and got caught.
It is the same thing.

God is not infinitely forgiving. God is infinitely perfect and good and will serve justice. Would a earthly judge be good if he let murders and rapist go. No, he would be evil. God has provided a way for us to be forgiven but you must confess your crimes to God and leave your sinfull ways and turn to Jesus putting your faith in him. That way you are pardoned because Jesus has paid the penelty of your crimes and it is credited to your account so that justice is still served. If you have not done that then you will paid the penelty for your crimes which is forever in hell.

God was willing to forgive those people up until the point that they died. Instead of asking for forgiveness, those people rejected God's love and ended up in Hell.
If a person rejects God and separates themselves from Him in this life, they will find themselves separated from God's love in the next life.

God didn't put the people in Hell, It was them themselves that made that choice. God gives use all a choice of life or death, what you do with it is up to you. A gift is a gift but only if you receive it right? Otherwise it's worthless.

Its not that God won't let them out.
Its up to the person, to decide, to ask God for forgivness. God has left them a choice.
Stay where you are, or when your ready, you can ask for forgiveness.
God is not going to force them to ask. They have to be willing to do it.

LOL, where did it ever say that He is infinitely forgiving? He's infinitely loving, but if you reject Him until the very end, that's your choice not His. He is just, and doesn't change. He will not sacrifice His doctrine for your salvation. You adjust to Him, not the other way around.
God will forgive your sins, but only if you truly repent. That and you are in Truth.

Who said that God infinitely forgives? There is a limit to His patience. Looks like you are pushing that limit as far as it will go. I hope you don't push it too far.

Because He is just. How would you like it if HITLER was let out of Hell?! Or Stalin, or the Columbine shooters?! In Hell, in not one size fits all. Hitler's Hell will be more excruciating than a garden-variety Pagan's.
