is is cos they like the person or is it just a dumb thing that boys do to get attention from people or from you especially if the person they wind up is really quiet why ?

No I would think that boys do this to make them look cool or the fact that they might like this girl.

If you are a quiet girl they usually do it because they can't figure you out and cos you might not be flirting and giving him alot of attention like alot of other girls do with boys, they get annoyed so decide stupidly the best thing to do is tease the girl, whom they may secretly like but they get pressure from their silly mates to pick on you so decide to be mean. NOT a very good move I must say!

Because they think they're being clever in front of their friends. If a boy is doing it to you and you don't fancy him then think of something embarrassing to say to him next time he picks on you. That way he'll be so devastated he'll leave you alone in the future. If you do like him, then get a friend to ask him if he likes you. If so, then you can take it from there. Sometimes when people like someone but are too embarrassed to ask, they pick on them because it's a way of getting close to that person. Find out which it is!

for several reasons....boys are stupid...well known fact!
But yes, you're right, mainly because they like you, and want to get our attention, and it makes them look big and funny in front of their mates. Stupid really, because like you say, it winds the girl up and annoyes them, so it's a bit pointless! But yes, immature little boys do that sort of thing for a reaction....because they like you.

it is just their immaturity,boys don,t ever really grow up.it could also be because they like you though it,s just that when lads are together they find it embarrassing to say they like a girl because they aren,t sure as to how the others will react also they are scared in case they get knocked back by the girl because that will dent their ego.best thing is to ignore them or make a quick witted comment back, that usually throws them off guard and can shut them up.boys don,t mature at the same rate as females this is proven knowledge so they act the idiot for a few years more than girls,you will learn to get used to it.
