Being saved is admirable but don't stop taking your medications or listening to your therapists if you are schizophrenic.

Good luck, good mental health, peace and Love!

Hello Ed,
No disrespect intented, but my psychiatrist who I have seen since July of 2000 is the only reason I am still here. He has saved my life on many occasions. Do you think that is because you need an extremely complex educational degree to achieve that position? Yes knowledge is important.
For my own personal and very painful reasons I have a "God Problem" right now. I am very ticked at God, for very good reason.
So, if God thinks I am a bad person, why would he put me in touch with someone who 'actually has correctly diagnosed me and saved my life?'
Hope you find the answer you are looking for.

I think it's a good thing that you have faith to help you along. There are a lot of different things in our lives, and obsessing on just one isn't healthy.

Mental illness is difficult to deal with, and you are right, it really can't be your main focus.

I think that leading a well-rounded life, having our own interests and keeping our minds occupied as often as possible can be of great help, too.

Thats great that you have a faith and a god that has helped you get through your ordeal. I think that is fantastic, though I'm not religeous myself, nor am I likely to be.

Being saved isn't about what you do it is about what Christ did for you. All you have to be able to do to be saved is say I am sorry for my sins Lord please forgive me, AND MEAN IT ! If you have done that with a humble heart you are saved no matter what kind of earthly problems you might have.

I am very happy for you if finding "God" has helped you deal with your mental illness.

For me, finding my own self, is what has helped me with my mental illness.
