Well atheists and agnostics aren't going to be able to amend the religion-driven laws in this country, despite the fact that the United States Constitution supposedly has a freedom of religion. So they have to vent somewhere.
Plus it's fun to see how people attempt to prove the existence of God, especially considering many of the barbaric and ridiculous sayings in the bible.
My favorite argument is "Science is just theories, none of it can be proven, they say that the Big bang made the planets, but who put the stardust there? It had to be God." When God's creation of the univers is the exact same thing, a theory that can't be proven.
I'm agnostic because I don't know. I don't know if God exists, and I'm not going to devote my life to something or someone that may or may not exist, it's a waste of energy. Until I see some solid proof of a higher being, it will not consume my time.

How can we be looking for something that doesn't exist?
No, the reality is we're here to make sure that people who aren't quite so sure all of this isn't just mythology and fairy-tales (which, it is by the way) get the correct information.
I myself have recieved dozens of emails asking how to leave the church and become an atheist.
You see? We're not here because we're looking for an imaginary sky pixie, we're here to help people leave it's cult.

Why does anyone come here?
You say "Aren't they just looking for God?"
Well, this place, R&S, is anything but Holy or Sacred. Have you read half the things that get posted here?

I don't think atheists are looking for god. It would be like looking for a leprechaun in Ireland or Santa Claus in a chimney, they are all make believe.
I think atheists are trying to help some of the believers to see the error in their ways. Religion is the cause of so much war and bloodshed. Atheist are just trying to make people think.

Given a choice,an atheist shall rather look for some fun than a God.The former is tangible and physical and the later an illusion.

I think some Christians are the greatest people.....but a lot of them on here don't read very well.
When you asked this question a gazillion similar or exactly the same ones popped up.
The reason is still the same now as it was for the first gazillion.

No way , I dropped all religious superstitions years ago . R and S is not only for the Holies , but for those who are interested in religion . Ever since I dropped all of my religious beliefs , I continue to be interested in the foolishness that other people fall for .
What is the point in looking for something that you know doesn't exist ? Nope , you're way off base on this one .

To answer dumb questions from clearly dumb people. There you go!
Does anyone know if it's possible to set up Y!A so that when a person stars this question, their computer automatically crashes?
