Just a few examples. Honestly I don't care what they answer, but I get sort of sick of the whole "poor perseuted Christians" who get's picked on by the atheist. Why is it they can do the same thing but someone it's "different"?

I admit that we ALL do it. But I suppose the difference is that we aren't posting "Why are the atheist picking on us?" questions

A group that tries to portray itself as the victim is doing its group members no favors. It just makes the whole group look pathetic and childish.

Real victimization isn't right or good. Fabricated and/or exaggerated "poor me" stuff is silly.

When Christians pick on atheists, I have seen them portray it as trying to help, or reaching out to us, or other crappola like that. Perhaps they are aware of the fact that we see it as attempted conversion, which we collectively LOATHE. Anyhow, it just comes off as nonsense when Christians try to answer posts that aren't' meant for them.

Fro what it's worth, I always try to pass over questions that are specifically addressed to Christians. Once in a blue moon, I will answer one, but only if I think I can add something constructive to the discussion or if it seems that a child is in need. Other than that, I leave them alone.

Good question!!

Irony is ever-occuring in the Religion and Spirituality section. It is almost completely made up of a Christian vs. Atheist combat. The Christians who post these questions know they will be getting answers from atheists and probably want them. No one really thinks 'poor persecuted Christians' because they are such a large religion, it is more likely that they think 'poor persecuted atheists'.

Sometimes Christians can be a little too expressive of their opinion, and maybe a little wrong. If you say someone who doesn't believe in hell, you will burn in hell, it is unlikely to achieve anything but a mocking grin from said person.

btw: Christians answer questions for atheists and pagans, Pagans answer questions for Christians, Atheists answer questions for pagans and the whole thing turns into a preaching contest.

Ironic ? no.... unusual ?? sure.... slightly extraordinary ?? sure... yet, some and that i recommend an exceptionally few of them, the mature ones, do make me seem deeper right into some issues.... so, a number of them i've got confidence are despatched into my course for a reason.... the different ones ? properly, I gotta be extreme high quality, so I flow away it at that.... flow in peace... God bless playstation ..... What i discover humorous is all of the *strategies readers* at here.. Ya be conscious of, people who answer like they be conscious of each Christian on earth, how we expect of, experience, see issues, etc..... LOL.... It in basic terms relatively tickles my humorous bone....

Pot, kettle.

We've always known they were close friends.

Edit: To be fair, it's just the fundies who need to preach their ignorance. And some of the atheists jump in on Pagan questions too... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=A0WTc6FF.iFHSnwANw7sy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071026072618AAsVxrh&show=7#profile-info-sf3s8dhIaa

obviously atheism is neither religion or spirtuality and Paganism is a religion and does belong here. This forum is for religion and spirtuality.
