My son fell out of our bed the other night and seems to be okay. But his eye is puffy. It is not red or blue.I took him to doc to get checked out but he says he is fine. Why would his eye be puffy unless he hurt it ?

How old is he? It's probably nothing, but don't be afraid to go back to the doctor or go to a different doctor if it hasn't gotten better in a few days. Follow your own maternal instincts and don't let other people discourage you from checking out something that you think is wrong. At the same time, remember that normal kids get bumped and bruised. They knock teeth out and break bones. They get cut and scraped. As mothers, we hate to see that, but it's all part of growing up.

If its the lid and outside area like anything else.... it will be puffy or red if injured.
If it is the eye itself that is red , you should bring him to an eye doctor not a pediatrician for a look. You can damage your eye and detach a retina from an injury.

Doctors do not have the care these days as they used too, one time they cared about each and evry patient but today it is only about the $$$$ why don't you tkae him to a different doctor for a second opinion but ask why would it be puffy if there is not a problem,

Could have been bitten by something, but as he fell, the doctor may just be relating it to that.
Just keep an eye on it and if it does not go down in a few day's, I would go and see another doctor or even the local chemist.

Take him to another doctor to be sure. Doctors are wrong all the time. If 2 opinions are that he's fine, the let it go. Just keep an 'eye' on it.

He is ok.....the doc knows what he is talking about. The doc checked him for internal injuries... a black eye is nothing compaired to what might have happened. So I imagine he probably just bumped it.... it will be ok.

the puffyness could be down to tiredness or slight tenderness in the eye area, if your doctor has said t is fine then trust him. give it a couple more days and if your still concerned then take him back to the doctors

its just a bodys reaction it is providing padding to the area that he bumped it may also just be bruising from hitting it, the doc knows best . take him to another doc or clinic if ou are in doubt!

nothing to worry about if you believe your Dr........but if you are still concerned, call the Dr's office and ask about the puffiness! Safety is always the best policy!
