First off let me say im not for it or with it.
I do not condone it. I am not passing any judgments!!
I just would like to have other peoples opinion. I found this website
www.abort73.com
*it has alot of information on abortion, viewer discretion advised though..
I believe it is a womens choice, considering if I was raped and i got pregnant I have NO idea what i would do!! I dont know if i could bring myself to the clinic to get an abortion, But in that case i might... but i really dont know.

I would not have an abortion for any other reason.
While growing up my mother told me that she would use a coat hanger!! yea and i was 17, with a job and had a two yr relationship with my now husband!! when she was telling me this!!
I always thought it was scary, then when seeing these photos of these dead fetus I couldn't bare it, its sad.
***And again, Im NOT passing any judgments.

thank you for your info, and opinions!

I dont think abortion should be banned either!
I have been raped and I have a constant reminder because it was my BEST FRIENDS brother. So I understand if rape was the case.
But it should not be a form of birth control I agree.
I am pro-choice.
And women do have the right to decide.
Considering last week a women in my city put her baby in the microwave!!! Now crazy people should have an abortion.

I think it's up to the woman to dicide if she wants the baby or not

My opinion is that this is a political question, and probably doesn't belong in the pregnancy section.

As for abortion, it is the woman's right to choose. Not her mother's, father's, boyfriend's, husband, one night stand, etc. Nobody has the right to tell a person what they can or cannot do with their body.

I would never grow a child in body, only to give it away. I would not bring a child into the world if I couldn't care for it properly. This can encompass financial reasons, career reasons, mental and physical health issues and much more!

Thankfully, I have never been in a position to have to make that choice. I do fully support the women who do have to make that choice. People should butt out of other people's business. If someone doesn't agree with abortion, don't have one!

One more thing... I have personally known three women who were 100% against abortion. Two of them carted their teenagers off to an abortion clinic. When it affected THEIR family, they didn't have a problem with it. The other person choose to abort when she got pregnant by her abusive husband. These people confided in me. I'm still in contact with two of them and they still claim to be pro-life! Go figure.

I've seen the anti-abortion propaganda, it's not pretty, but it doesn't change my views.

Whilst I think that abortion in itself is a difficult decision and often the wrong one, I beleive that it is vital that it remains legal. Many studies have shown that women will seek abortions, be it legal or illegal, and as a result they should be available somewhat easily in safe, sterile environments and carried out by professionals.

Every case is different, and as a result it is impossible to say whether abortion in itself is wrong. If a birth will cause great suffering or hardship to a woman or her family, then I beleive that the prevention of this suffering is far more vital than the life of an unborn fetus. The suffering felt by an aborted fetus is minimal, they lack sophisticated pain receptors (and it's debatable whether they feel "pain" at all), and their minds are underdeveloped and thus their potential to suffer is usually much smaller than the hardship they will cause.

However, abortion should only be seen as an effective last resort in almost all cases, it should not be relied on. The most effective prevention is easily available contraception, handed out descreetly to all, no questions asked - and studies have proved that this lowers teen pregnancies AND abortion rates.

With regards to your personal story about your mother, consider this: Every time a couple decides not to have sex at any specific moment in time, they are deciding to deny someone life. If your mother had decided not to have sex the night you were conceived, you wouldn't have been born - and the same applies to everyone. Using the argument that abortion denies someone life is irrelevant because so many other things do as well, they are just less bloody and showy so get ignored.

i think abortion is a personal decision. for me being married and having 1 child already, i can not imagine deciding to end my childs life or the life or another child if i get pregnant agian. but i feel if a woman gets pregnant by rape, or being pregnant is risking her life then she has the right to choose to have an abortion. i also feel if early enough in pregnancy a dr finds concrete evidence that the child will not function in todays society and never have a normal life (i dont mean missing a limb or autistic im talking severly disabled mentally) then the parent has the right to make a choice for that child.

I am for it. I personally would never do it, but I believe that if a woman who was raped or simply are not going to be a good mother and raise a kid the right way they shouldn't keep the baby. The world is overpopulated already, and though the baby has no choice in the matter, why even have the baby and give it up for adoption then feel later in life no one loved him/her?

Whether or I not I would do it, I am not sure, like you, it would depend on the circumstances. A reminder of a rape has got to be trying on a woman. I defiantly do not think abortions should be banned. I do not care what another woman chooses to do with her unborn fetus. It is none of my business and I don't want it to be.

Women own their bodies. All the time. Period.

Anyone who thinks the government should own a woman's body (aka an anti-choicer) is the most irrational, immoral pathetic excuse for a human being I can imagine.

I don't like the thought of abortion. In my opinion, it is killing an innocent baby. However, I do believe its still the woman's choice.

The pictures on that website are horrendous. I hope anyone who wants to have an abortion for "convenience" reasons sees those pictures first. It could very well change their minds. At the same time, I hope that someone who had a miscarriage or has to have an abortion for medical reasons DOESN'T see those pictures.

i had to have one due to an ectopic.
the baby would not have survived, & had i tried to keep it it would have ruptured my tube & caused internal bleeding that could have possibly killed me, and would have impeded my future fertility for certain.
i am also pro-choice, but think it should be absolutely limitted to the first trimester unless there is a definite risk of fetal & maternal death or major birth defect that would cause the baby to know nothing but pain for a few hours & die. (i had a friend who got pregnant twice with babies that had a genetic disorder which caused thier bones to not form properly, she carried the first to term, only to watch it die in pain--its bones crushed by anything more than a gentle stroke--a few hours after birth.)

i believe that it depends on the situation... it should always be the womans choice though. it should NOT be used as a form of birth control. for example, after one abortion the woman should have learned a lesson and got on birth control.
Other than that, its up to the woman, i think it's better off aborted than born & have the woman kill it herself (there ARE ppl who do crazy things like this) or have an abused/neglected child grow up unloved or in foster care.

I also don't believe in abortion, but I think I'm probably pro-choice.

The law says a woman may choose an abortion.

I choose not to pay for it.
