I agree with answer no. 2 the most (personally). I think its probably some guy just having fun at other's expense and its most likely harmless.
You gotta admit, it would be all too easy to do. People seem to believe anything you tell them unless its way obvious. So if the guy is pulling it off then maybe he should consider a good acting career..lol j/k.
If he came clean to you, it probably implies he respected you well enough to not want to mess with you. Who knows, its just my 2 cents on it. Its chat. I wouldn't worry on it. If ya don't feel comfortable talking to him/her, then iggy them and move on. Good luck :)
I wouldn't jump to the conclusion he's gay. That answer is just way too easy. Personally I'd think gay people would just go to a gay chat room and have no need for being posers. imho

if he seeing someone of the opposite sex but is also talking to people of the same sex in away he is cheating. why?
because the person in his relationship doesn't care if he is talking to guys than he wouldn't be cheating. im bi- sexual and i have wonder if im seeing a girl and talking to a guy
how would she feel, well for one if your fine as hell she may over look it just so she can say her boyfriend is hot. or she will be upset becuase you should be commited to being with
her. being a bisexual it is hard to stay devoted to the female becuase sometimes you want pussy and other times you want dick so to stay in a commited relationship is hard. now if you are homosexual it is obvious you are cheating. but if you are posing as a girl online then it depends on the person you are supposed to be seeing how they feel is what will stand. so if the other person says you are cheating then you are cheating.

Cheating is the least of your concerns.
Normal people don't pretend to be something that they're not, intentionally deceive others, and then derive some sort of enjoyment from it.
Now that your eyes are open start paying more attention to everything this guy says and does. I'm fairly certain that you will end up being turned off by him on many different levels.

Not really. Just being deceptive to others and messing with them. It's not really a cheating thing, more of security thing. Its the ye olde thing of people lying about who they are online.
I don't think its cheating more of him having a bit of fun on his part.
The thing with being online is that you can be whoever you want to be (barring some celebrities, as they crack down....I think). Might be doing it for the attention or for the laugh it brings to him? Or even just out of pure curiousity.

I don't know what to call it, but it's messed up and I would end the relationship either way because he's dishonest whether he is cheating on you or just enjoys messing with people's heads.
