My one year old baby boy is exstreamly jelous. He bites my 7 Year old son over nothing or slap him constantly. I am working for a full day, but tries to give him attention when I get home. He sometimes even tries to byte me.

What should I do.

Put him in time out. Do NOT bite him back that only reinforces the idea that it's okay to bite which it is NOT. The human bite is EXTREMELY dangerous, it can spread the bacterial responsible for "flesh eating" disease do you want your 7 year old to wind up with that? I suggest at home you invest in a child gate, place it in front of his bedroom door and when he starts this behavior put him in the room and tell him that when he can behave he can come out.

my 18 month old son does similarly. He slaps, and pulls hair on his 5 yr old sister.

We're convinced its developmental. At times he's trying to assert his claim to a toy, spot on the floor, or parent. My wife and i try and ensure that we're splitting time between the two kids. I'll help my daughter with her printing, and my wife will play with the toddler, and we'll swap roles. It keeps him calmer.

Sometimes misbehaviour is part of the growing process. My son gets excited pulling hair, slapping and seeing our adverse reactions. He even smiles and claps when he does it.

I would pull down his pants and give him one firm smack on the butt. Then he would be put in his bed and his tantrum would be ignored. Then I would tell him he has to be a good boy.
I have known other parents to give them a light bite back and thats solved the problem too.

My son did the biting thing one time. It may sound bad but I bit him back. I didn't leave marks or anything but he knew what it felt like and didn't want to do it again. That's what my mom always did to us.
