Lots of cars would be better then hers to show off or beat her car in a race. I don't car much for the 03 bodystyle and Tib's have never been very fast either. A 350Z is near as beautiful and powerful a car as you can get for around $30K. Obviously a Mustang is also pretty sweet and all those little 2 seaters on the market now would dog the Tiburon, not to mention any Mazdaspeed product.

Do NOT listen to LT, he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about. 127 mph is nothing in a Z. I push 160+ mph like nothing. A V6 Tiburon will not take a 350Z. I can assure you that. I pull low 5's on the 0-60. A manual transmission Tiburon GT is an 7.8 second car. I leave them standing at the red light constantly. This is in a 2007 350Z.

The Nissan's faster and all around a better car. The Tib, despite looking pretty darned good for the price, is still an econocoupe, it's just sporty looking, not a real sports car like a Z.
If you don't want to spend Z-level money though, and you're looking for something comparable to the Tiburon (front drive, fairly economical) I'd suggest a Toyota Celica.

Nissan 350 would be the best choice. Great looks, great possiblities of beating the tiburon, just better all the way around.

It's ironic you ask this. I have a Z and was on my way to work this morning as I was passing a Tiburon on the interstate. They tried to run with me...I dropped it in 5th and by the time I hit 100 he gave up trying. If my answer isn't obvious, I would def. go with the fairlady.

In speed I don't know where people say they are slow . I have a 2003 V6 and if you use the shifter right, not in drive, (auto tran.- The straight shift is slower) you will take and outrun the 350z. In fact it is faster than some V8's. I don't know where the person who said at 100 MPH he left the Tiburon as mine doesn't start running good until it is around 100 MPH. I have been up to 127 MPH and still going. Other wise I don't know so it would be your choice which one you would want.
