Body language what does this mean??

Question

I have feelings for my friend and i found out she did too. she said she used to like me...but she said shes not ready for a relationship.

Anyway long story short after we both told each other that we had feelings we met up.Went to my mates house we both sat next to eachother.

Her legs were facing mine and they were touching does this mean anything?she didnt get up and move away she sat there beside me for a few hours and her legs kept touching mines so is she just scared to be with someone i dont know.


does anyone know what the leg touching things is?

And she always laughs at all the jokes i say and things does that mean anything too?

I would say she likes you.

Try this little test.

The next time you are both sitting together and you have drinks on the table in front of you, pick up your drink, take a slow sip, and put the glass back on the table TOUCHING HER GLASS.

Wait for her to take a sip of her drink, if she positions her glass touching yours or very near then thats a very good sign.

Also, look for 'mirroring' behaviour. Does she subconsciously copy your manorisms??

Look for deep and prolonged eye contact outside of conversation.

If I were you I would send her a text message and say how much you enjoyed the other night and would she like to come over to your place for a dvd and bottle of wine - then see how it goes.

Any level of touch can be read as meaning something!

The fact that you told her that you like her in that way, and she's not making a conscious effort to stop that contact would mean that she is interested too.

HOWEVER!!

I had a really close friend that I had a huge crush on. Finally told her, and she turned me down gently, but she kept up the physical contact too!

Very confusing! I've since moved on, but she is still a really touchy person! This is just who she is, and with hindsight I have realised it!

Body language is a term for the communication whereby movements or gestures instead of , or in addition to sounds, verbal language or other communications are used. Just because your friend laughs at your jokes doesn't mean she want a relationship. I laugh at jokes all the time that I hear from different people, does not mean that I want relationship, just that their jokes are funny!

She's touching your legs as she likes getting real close to you, she may or may not be aware that she's doing it but its a giveaway that she feels comfortable up close to you and thus is probably VERY fond of you, whether she wants to actually go out with you though is another matter, if she's not ready yet maybe she will be later on or perhaps she just needs encouragement from yourself!

Perhaps she's a bit flattered, but if she says not ready, then you must accept what she says.

Touchy feely is just a bit flirty. Same for joke laughing (unless you are a very funny comedian).

She's playing along, she probably likes you, but sounds like you want more than her at the moment.

It means that he is dominating you, or wants to dominate and control you. Also he is keeping you just for himself, like he wants to own you and not allow you to associate with other people. If this fits, then you might want to question if this is the type of relationship you want. It's been my experience that with my lady friends, leg touching and laughing at my jokes means they like me and find me attractive, but it does NOT necessarily mean they want to get sexual or romantic with me.
