If you want to reduce your weight, you need to do a lot of exercise to accelerate your metabolism. It's better if you do cardiovascular exercise, because this kind of exercise helps you burn fat...
You should begin with a good eating plan, combining fats and sweets with fruits and vegetables. It will be better if you drink at least eight glasses of water daily to control your calories and your cholesterol.
If you want you can use some pills to control your weight and to accelerate the process of burning fat.
I know some pills which you can use to reduce your weight. Those pills are Xenical and Hoodia. Their results are excellent and fast.

75 kg = 165 lbs.
Ummm...I'm not sure how much you can lose in a week.
The best thing to do is to limit your consumption to fresh, raw fruits and vegetables (raw because they take longer to digest and keep you feeling full longer) and lean protein and whole grains (whole grain bread or rice). No refined sugar, no white flour, no pasta.
Drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep and exercise every day. You should take a long walk at a brisk pace every day, and then every other day, add some strength conditioning. If you do not have hand-weights, you can use tinned soup or vegetables or even a can of soda in a pinch. Do 3 sets of 20 bicep curls, tricep curls, stomach cruches (with the weights held under your chin), squats, leg lifts, etc. Most of these exercises can be found with photos/diagrams on-line. It is important to build muscle because muscle burns calories faster than fat.
Even doing all of this, I can't imagine you would lose more than 1-2 kg in a week, but the exercise will tighten up your body and perhaps enable you to lose an entire dress size.
But moreso than that, you must be more aware of your health and adopt a healthier attitude EVERY day, not just for the big formal dances in life. Walking and light weight training need to be incorporated into your lifestyle permanently, and after the dance, you ought to consult your physician about developing a nutrition plan that you can live with, with a little bit of the foods you enjoy (the white sugar and white flour things) so that the diet is not a burden but a healthy lifestyle.

Family Doctor's experience:
There was some recent findings that showed eating 2 apples a day, made the person on average lose a few pounds over two weeks. There are many things you can do, put ultimately it is up to the diet you want. I also heard that eating a tomato in the breakfast along with some other healthy breakfast, can also help. There are so many things you can do that i can fill the whole page up, but you must pick what fruits and healthy foods you want to eat.

Why are you waiting until just now to worry about this? Lol.. =P
That's a very difficult task you are taking on, young lady. Odds are, you can work out all you want, but you might not lose as many pounds/kilos as you would like in the amount of time you are giving yourself.
Eat healthy, low/non-fat foods, drink LOTS of water. In fact, cut out any and all sugary drinks. My friend lost a lot of weight after having a baby by drinking only water. You should of course, probably also drink plenty of juices as well. V8's are excellent.
When you are working out, don't focus on trying to slim down your tummy only, for example. The body is funny like that: it loses weight where it wants to, not where you want it to. Work out your arms by doing plenty of pull-ups and push-ups. Work out your legs by doing lunges and squats. And, obviously, your stomach by doing crunches. Crunches are better than sit-ups since you don't have to do a whole lot of work to pull up all the way, but it still works the ab muscles. And alternate your crunches, you have three sets: upper, lower and obliques. Try side crunches to work out your obliques by bending your knees and laying them to one side. Don't pull up all the way, and don't place your hand behind your neck to pull up. Best thing to do is place your hand on your side(obliques) and feel the muscles stretch.
And when doing your work out, work out more than one body part (i.e. arms and abs), not just one.
I know it's a lot to take in and I realize you have a short amount of time. Just keep at it, and be persistent. Next time, though, you'll remember to start earlier! ;]
Good luck!
