can i use a ps3 disc that is ntsc version in a ps3 system tht is pal version?

i wanna know if i can use a ntsc ps3 disc on a pal system. i know there there are no regional locks... but this keeps buggin me.

PS3 games are region free. You can do it. Movies and PS2/PS1 games aren't.

Yes you can because the ps3 has no region code i use PAL on my NTSC, but if you want to use a PAL ps2 game then it will not work on the NTSC, oh yeah and if you want to buy the 40gb ps3 let me tell you it has no backward compatablity
