believe me not enough especially when your a single parent with a mortgage and bills to pay.
i m getting £120 a week for myself and my daughter.
i was made compulsory redundant may this year and have been looking for a job since then.
you can be the first to know i had an interview this morning and have just recieved a phone call telling me I HAVE THE JOB yipee. everyone have a fabulous day because i am :D

£59.15 if over 18 (£45 under 18) per week for a single claimant............ £94 for a couple over 18
If the unemployment is due to sickness £74 per week from Incapacity benefit
If you have a dependent child...add £52 per week
Rent and Council tax can be met in full from housing benefit

S*d all ... you get 'Job Seekers' allowance (about £60 a week) for six months or so and then I believe it's called something else, however it's only enough to stop you starving ..
