The only conclusion I could come to, if that were true, is that he must not be too fond of me. I don't have the gift.

We all were created by God, but this does not mean we are all children of God. God created all mankind with a free will of his or her own, in other words, He gave us a choice to choose Him or deny Him. We only become God's child when we confess our sins to God, and accept His payment for our sins, which is: By faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, He came to this earth and died on an old rugged cross, to redeem us from our sins.

Unbelievers may know there is a God, but will not come to Him for salvation. This is why not everyone has faith in God.
Do you know Him as Savior and Lord? If not, then He is standing with His arms open to welcome you.

At my wedding, I got this food processor thing as a gift...I never used it. Didn't want to take the time to figure out how it worked, it was too complex.

I'm not saying that to imply anyone who doesn't accept Gods gift, isn't smart enough to understand it. I'm just saying that not everyone accepts every gift they are given, for many different reasons.

Why are you attempting to 'make' some thing ensue? it really is not any longer how 'faith' works. faith is in part about the technique of gaining knowledge of that categorical issues can' be 'willed' into being. this isn't about a large Mac that you'll in simple terms wait 5 minutes or a lot less for, and then whinge legitimately to the govtand wish for funds back. What change into it, precisely, that led to you to lose your faith? maximum folk say they do no longer understand, yet there is continually a turning aspect, a second/stumble upon even as some thing stepped in between the guy and their faith. it ought to were a remark, an journey, a persons'' habit, and so on and so on, some thing. area of the project is that you 'sense' it really is useful to matter on some thing. Why do you 'sense' you need to trust? Do you fairly imagine God is anxious about even if you've faith in him/her/it? imagine, in case you'll, arising gravity, and then sitting again and questioning "oh sh**, seem how lengthy it really is going to likely be in the previous Issac Newton comes alongside and explains to human beings what that element is.....darn." Do you fairly imagine it really is what God change into questioning...... i don't believe of so. God created 'issues' and then stated... "i'm no longer anxious. The (sparkling) will nevertheless be there even as they're waiting to settle for it, or no longer." once you're prepared to trust, the perception will be there waiting for you, sitting with a cup of tea and a spoon of sugar (in case you want your tea that way, or espresso in case you want): "Ask, and also you will acquire. search for, and also you shall locate. Knock, and it really is going to likely be opened to you." perchance what led for your lack of religion change into persons attempting to 'make' you've faith: "Be on your seem after adverse to pretend prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing yet below are wolves on the prowl. you'll understand them by their deeds... no longer all who cry out 'Lord, Lord' will enter the dominion of heaven." once you're prepared, you'll locate what you're searching for. it truly is searching for you besides.

God calls all of us to be His children, to love Him and obey Him. Only a few will answer the full call of God to be one of His children. God loves us all, even the non believers. He has a Bible for us all to read and know and understand, just takes time. And He shows us how to pray and ask to understand more, etc. But, tho we are all called, so few will truly answer that call. So some reject God and some accept Him.
God gives us CHOICE whether we believe in HIm or Not, and whether we obey Him or not. absolutely.
So Faith is not ordered, faith is a choice. and each one must make that decision to believe, love and obey, or they wont have faith. IT really is that simple. ITs all personal choice.
some say you cant prove this to me. Well there are all kinds of things showing truth, but faith is an action word. We believe without seeing, jsut because God says it. Once we do that, and begin to study His word and pray, He will show us more and more and increase our faith daily. and show us just how to say NO to all sin and Yes to Jesus Christ We are commanded to be like Christ, have His character and His mind so that we may live as He lived This is commanded its not just a mere suggestion. Many will claim they believe and love God, but wont obey Him. THey will receive the same fate as the non believers. God doesnt send anyone to hell really. PPL go there by rejecting Jesus, which is a choice.
Faith is a choice and its a decison each person must make, and then they will be so blessed by it forever and ever.
But, till one makes that choice, the will live in doubt and unbelief with no faith at all. The devil loves this and does all he can to keep ppl doubting and confused, wanting more and more proof Proof is there, and believers will see it.
But Faith is an action word. Just say you believe and want to know and watch what happens. Overnight, things come to you you never saw before and your faith is just increased.
Few want to do that tho, as it messes up the world they live where they can sin and try to enjoy it, and ooooh boy, they dont want to give it up. sin leads to curse and death and will keep you from the blessings of God on earth, and keep from going to Heaven. Nothing here or noone here is worth that cost.
But, most are willing to chance it, to risk it.
spread the good news about faith in God. Good news is, we get to avoid hell and have life right here in this kingdom now where its only good and wonderful things of God.
We arent free to sin, we are called to be free of sin, which leads to joy and peace, beyond understaning as we wait to go to heaven unto perfection.
God bless you for even wondering this, May all truths be shown to you... I will pray for that.

My faith comes from within, not a God. It's a human trait. It is one of our survival skills, we believe the impossible in order to survive seemingly impossible circumstances. Faith gives us strength to endure. It's the human ability to see a way, when visibly there is no way.

Atheists, don't let religious people monopolize faith, it's in you too, it isn't of a God, it is of man. It's part of our nature.

there are no athiests in fox holes. means we all know deep inside that God does exist, its something that is just in us. we have this still quiet voice in us that knows right from wrong as well. The world dulls and hardens some people, because they are very caught up in the world. Sin also is a reason why people want to live a sinful life, and do whatever they want. But, when they are in that fox hole, that voice that they have been blocking out, is very available, and very clear, see how good God is?

We aren't all God's children. Only those who believe in Jesus are His kids. It's like being adopted. We weren't His children for a while, but then when we believed He adopted us and made us His own.

Sorry Deke, your misquoting scripture. Your made in the image of God but your not God's child. You only become his child when you come in the faith and Accept christ as savior and lord.

Galatians 3:26
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,

Jesus described the pharisees as children of the devil because of their wickedness. And like suzanne said: "You can lead a horse to water, but you cant make it drink"

Only believers in Jesus are God's children, according to the Bible. Unbelievers are children of wrath, but can become children of God at any moment by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.
