I have a two year old tuxedo cat that has suffered from chronic vomiting (a self diagnosis) since he was a kitten. Is this normal for the breed or something that I should seek veterinarian advice about?

Some cats just like to vomit for attention. I had a siamese that puked whenever we were gone for the day.

You may just have a needy cat. Give him some extra love and attention if you can, and maybe that will help him out. Otherwise, I suppose you'll just have to invest in good carpet cleaners :)

Our long haired Tuxey is about 15. He is the smartest cat we've ever had. He understands and obeys (when he feels like it) several commands and knows at least half a doz. tricks. (Brag, brag)
He has never had a weak stomach (a BIG stomach, maybe, but never weak.) When he does vomit, it's always because of hair balls. There are remedies and food available in stores to reduce that problem.
Puddy has been prone to urinary problems in the past, however. We even had to treat him with water under the skin by I.V. We changed his diet and began giving him a daily cat vitamin. Today, he is fine and healthy. Ask a vet about what you're feeding him.

I have several cats, and oddly enough, the tuxedo cat does vomit the most. All of the cats I've ever had vomit on occasion, but this one does do it more frequently. The vet says she's healthy. Never thought of it by breed before.

Tuxedo only really refers to the colour of the cat. Interestingly enough any primarily black cat with white markings is considered a tuxedo cat.

If he has chronic vomiting you need to take him to the vet as it can be a sign of serious illness.

NOT a breed, just a color pattern. No connection to "weak" stomachs.
Seek advice from a vet!!!!!
