Pffft. So there's a bunch of evangelicals here. Guess what? Most Christians don't like them, either. Yes, it's true--most Christians are decent people who honestly don't care what you believe as long as you aren't causing any trouble. The evangelicals are like the fluffbunnies of paganism--loud, and obnoxious, but not representative of the whole.
So what do I do? I continue to live, to be myself, and to not let stupid people get to me. Life's too short to worry about being persecuted.

it can be a challenge, but if you are in the states, then you have other options for where to live. Our area has a large pagan community. I love it. Drum circles, gatherings, etc.
My ex was from Colorado Springs, and when we went out there to visit... well, it was a different place.
If you do want to move... check out some of the pagan networking sites to see where there is a good concentration of pagan activities.
As for how to handle where you are now. Just enjoy being pagan and think of it as a lesson in history. You know, the burning times and how pagans had to hide their faith to keep from being tortured. You won't be tortured physically, but you could have a healthy dose of emotional torture.
In love and light and with the wish of comfort and wisdom.

I would LOVE to move to England! Well Scotland. All though the countryside near Sussex is pretty....
Honestly I have FAR more problems with Christians on this board then I EVER do in real life. I'm lucky to have large pagan friends network. I don't even deal with "Crazy" Christians. Why bother? I pity them more then anything else. At least when I'm not loosing my temper. Hey we're all human. And I'm Heathen to boot. It's bound to happen. He he

This is a great time in America to be a pagan. As christianty fades, paganism is growing as people are free to follow the path they chose & free to explore their spirituality.
Do what you can to expel the lies that christianity has propagated about your belief.
Show by action that you don't buckle under intimidation
Learn, knowledge is the enemy to christianity

Just do what you do
You are a Pagan in a country filled with Christians. Are you expecting a medal?
There are Atheists, Muslims, Jews, all living in this country amongst these Christians. Just do what you do, don't break any laws doing it and there should be no issues

Live your life.
Lead by example.
Many many paths of paganism are growing, daily.
In spite of the fact that we don't generally proselytize or go about converting people (or reverting in my case).
Paganism will grow naturally... just the way it should.

Be polite, be respectful. If they offer to pray for your soul, thank them and let them know you will do the same for them. Hold your head high and be proud for being a mere pagan.
It drives them nuts!!

You need to repent. There's no future in paganism. It's just a nice diversion for your life on earth. But when you stand before the God of the universe in your filthy rags, what're you going to say to him?
It'll be too late then, because the witness of Jesus was in the world, but you preferred to go after fairy tales and inventions of men.

Show them the beauty of worshipping in the great outdoors. The balance of nature and the joy of being in harmony with your surroundings.
