My two male cats are brothers and have been together since Birth. They are approx 1year old. I was curious whether or not its a good idea to keep two male cats together. They have both been neutured, but they play fight alot of the time and sometimes hurting eachother. Any thoughts?

I have 2 male cats. They are doing great together and get along well. I would go ahead and keep them, they have already been together for a year no since in seperating them if you can take care of them. You may want to teach them to stop when you say or not to wrestle so much, but this may go down with age as well, they are still pretty young and playful.

I have 2 male cats that are from different litters and adopted them both at about 5 weeks of age. They have always been together, and we call them brothers and they have always gotten along fine. Their 4 yrs now and still play rough at times. Don`t separate them, their just playing.

There is no problem keeping two male cats together, as for the play fighting thas just normal and will decrease as they get older.
Enjoy

My first two cats after getting married were two yellow tabby brothers. They were great friends until Licorice came on the scene-an oh so beautiful black with white markings female. They ended up hating each other, and the smaller of the two ran away. A true love triangle :(

I have 3 neutered males that have been living in the same house since they were kittens. They roughhouse but they get along and cuddle together when it is chilly. If your 2 are really hurting each other (drawing blood) then maybe you need to talk to you vet. If they are only yelling and roughhousing, I don't think you need to worry too much

i have two male cats and yes they play fight alot and hurt each other.....but one would be lost without the other. around the same ages also go figure. but try hard to keep them together. if they hav'nt been seperated since birth it may lead to depression for one or the other. then you get them losing hair and sneezing,etc.... keep them together. unless they are really disruptful.

It's fine to keep two males together. However, yes, they will fight alot. For food, territory, your attention. It's natural. If it becomes too brutal of the fighting seperate them. Like, put them in seperate rooms.

Well that is normal for cats to fight but I know people who have ten male cats together {a lot of cats I know}. They don't have problems some fighting is normal, but don't worry about it. That is my advice.

My boys get along great. They do fight rough though but have never hurt each other (knock on wood). I also break it up when it gets to that point very seldomly. They love each other. Now its my girl cat that does not really like one of the boys. But they do not "fight" she just chases him out of the room when she is in one of her moods lol.
