My mother-in-law called last night to let me know that she and my father-in-law want to come and help me when my father is near the end. They want to help care for the rest of the family so I can spend time with my dad and not worry about carring for everyone else.
They have saved the money for plane tickets and are standing by waiting to help. By the time I got off the phone I realized how great they really are.

Desiree, I am truly sorry that your father is ill but how wonderfull it is that you have such a carring family (in-laws)that would offer you this time with your dad without the headaches of having to try and manage everything else in your life while he is near death. I would say that he is lucky as well, to have people care so much for the two of you, that would allow you this precious and irreplacable time together selflessly. And yes, I too have a wonderful mother-in-law.

You are one lucky girl. Be sure to tell them how much that means to you. My mother in law is the devil. She hates all of the daughter in laws. My husband has three brothers. My father in law is great though.

You are a very lucky lady. When my mother in law found out my father had cancer she wished him dead. Needless to say she is no longer a part of my life.
