I agree with everything I have heard him say. Though I haven't read his books.
He sounds very sensible.
I can understand why those with a vested interest are against him. He's very convincing - it's heard to argue against logic.

I really enjoy reading his works... WHEN it's his Scientific works. But I find he has become a hypocrite... Often I have heard him say that the Religious shouldn't be trying to become Scientists... even expressing that the two don't mix. Yet he is trying to use his field of Science to "prove", in a sense, that there isn't a God. He isn't a Theologist, hasn't done studies in that field... He's basing this on his personal opinion and then using his scientific genius (which I feel he is a genius in science - though I could be wrong) to try to say there isn't a god when Science doesn't even really touch on that idea. In an interview I read he even claimed that it would be alright to brainwash people into Not believing in any Gods... yet it was wrong if anyone brainwashed another into believing there is a God. He has become an Extremist and most Extremists are hypocrites. He needs to stick to his field of study and stay out of Religion... unless he wishes to start studying Theology. But you can't claim that it's wrong for other people to do or say something and then say it's alright for you to do it.... I can't stand by double standards like that.... They look foolish.

Don't know much about the man. I've heard a little about his beliefs. I heard he was a nice guy but a bit blunt and in your face in his writings.

Kind of like how some people are on this forum.

I am reading the god delusion right now. Some things make sense but a lot of things in the book seem to be him saying that atheists are cool, you can be one too. He hasn't convinced me there is no possibility in there being a god but we'll see how I feel when I finish the book.

Only just heard of the things he has been doing and saying, as a Christian I don't believe him, no doubt a smart man but he needs to change the his perpestive on the way he looks at things. Just because we don't understand something doesn't mean it didn't happen that way, it amazes me that we can believe in all kinds of supernatural things but we can't believe in a supernatural God.

I think I saw him on a couple of talk shows, but I've honestly never read his stuff...though I mean to. I do like the youtube clip of him debating Bill Oreilly, because Oreilly's a jerk anyway.

I think he's brilliant, and that his arguments are sound. I wish that he would steer away from certain kinds of language-- "bright," for example.

I love his books, and I love to hear him speak -- must be the British accent!

Incisive and intelligent. And very quotable. No wonder religious people hate him.
