It looks to me we are about to build on the green belt just to house immigrants; part of the real cost of mass immigration

Of course it is not possible to calculate the exact figure; but those who realise that millions of immigrants put a big strain on the housing market got it right

With an estimated illegal immigrant population of over half a million and with social housing being built at the rate of between 15,000 and 20,000 homes each year, the impact of an amnesty on social housing provision would clearly be immense. At the present rate of building, it would take 20-30 years to provide those granted amnesty with social housing, even if no further housing was made available to those now on the housing lists. This would clearly be socially divisive and would add to the problems of community cohesion.

My niece was on the waiting list for a house for four years. Evertime a house became available she was told she could move in only to be told the next day that the house had gone because of an emergancy family needed it. After the fifth time of this happening, she was told by a woman on the council that they were fast tracking the immigrants to the top of the waiting list and the houses she was promised before were given to immigrant families. Not matter how many houses they build, there will never be enough unless we shut the door on them all.

270,000 i suppose. In this small island we have 65million residents, in New Zealand an island of similar size has 4million, we were overpopulated after the second world war and the government was concerned over population growth, well they kept letting people in because a minority of people get rich off it. Fact is the government will continue to allow vast swathes of immigrants in because of the benefit to the economy, regardless to the environment and the destruction of the countryside and farming/manufacturing in Great Britain. Capitalism makes a very few extremley rich at the cost of the majority and the cost of the natural world, fact is this country is heading for self destruct and it isnt far off!!!!

Working on the principle that the birth rate amongst certain ethnic groups in this country is falling to such drastic levels tthat experts are now voicing their concerns it doesn't take a genius to work out who the housing will be needed for.

Maybe we should be encouraging the elderly to move into poorer countries. Their pensions would go further, and they'd have a bunch of cash from the sale of their home. And it would free housing here.

But nearly all of the housing would be for immigrants. The native UK population is actually shrinking due to low birth rate and emigration.

Its not that they are needed for the immigrants its the fact that they are given to them - I have nothing against them but they should be added to the bottom of the waiting list like everyone else.

269,000! But seriously I don't know. However you can guarantee it will be the vast majority. What I dread to think of is the further devastation of what they used to call a green and pleasant land.
In a very few years it will be a concrete jungle full of people from other lands, unless of course once it has happened they all take flight back to their own green and pleasant lands and leave us with what remains

What a legacy we are passing on to the next generation.

Inside 5 years the estimate of 270,000 will be hopelessly outdated. But in answer to your question all of them are needed to house our new found friends.

This is why we need immigration control, our little island can only fit so many people on it!

Our green belt land will go and we will have no countryside left.

Too many, friend, too many. It's because of the Immigrants that all of these extra houses are needed, it just goes to show that this little island just doesn't have room for them all, thats not racism, that a simple fact.
