I have a.avi file that is a TV show and i dragged it over my tv bit of itunes library and it comes up with a like dont work icon. Is it coz Itunes does not accept these files? Is there a way i can patch itunes or summut do anything to put a .avi file in? If i need to convert it how?

itunes is MP3/MP4 because it was made for MAC which they take .avi files are windows video files (or very closely) the windows media player music is also .wmv which can be converted to mp3 thru itunes but if you want to play .avi files either download DivX for WMP or download a very good program which i use VLC media player comes with all the plug-ins and will play almost anything mp4/mp3/.wmv/.avi and much much more (just google vlc media player)

It probably doesn't support those kind of files, you may need to change them to WMV files.

just go to divx.com and download divx player and watch it on there ,,,,works just fine
