Yes.
But, why would you want to?

Actually, you could go down the line of execution techniques and probably find a little torture in each of them...

To kill instantly is the only way you can achieve a non-torture type death, But the person would have to have no knowledge of impending death and most likely have to be put to sleep.

Burning at the stake is pretty harsh...

Surely it counts as "torchure" . But even "Torture" can be taken in consideration.

Yeah generally anything that is inhumane, such as burning someone alive....well duh...that's torture.

They didn't have TV in the days when the Catholic Inquisition was in full swing, it was an exciting entertainment watching and smelling heretics, dissenters, strong-minded women and homosexuals burn on the griddle, griddle cakes were sold to onlookers in great numbers and were very popular then... an early precursor of popcorn.
The present Pope would love to return to those days of absolute power.
