May I request you first to go to the website of Life POSITIVE and read an article titled "FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT" by Anupama Bhattacharya? You have left the matter in the hands of the doctors only till now. By reading the abovementioned, highly insightful article, you will have a first hand understanding of depression and how you can help your mother in small ways to overcome depression. Click on link number 1 for the article.
As your mother has undergone allopathic treatment for depression (without much success), it would be worthwhile to mention that intake of anti depressant drugs leads to rise in anxiety levels resulting in suicidal tendencies in the patient. Research in this regard, led by Sumantra Chatterji of the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) in Bangalore has provided a molecular basis for this connection between treatment for depression and suicidal thoughts. Please click on the link number 2 for an informative article on this matter.
Now, I will come to your query regarding alternative methods of treatment for depression in and around Bangalore. If your mother happens to be suffering from schizophrenia, you can take her for holistic psychotherapy at the Athma Shakti Vidyalaya located at No. 113, Madhuban Colony, Hulimavu Village, BANGALORE - 560 076. Their phone numbers are 91 80 6581 564 and 91 80 6585 292 and email address is frhanknunn@hotmail.com. Click on link number 3 for more information.
The Healing Breath Technique (Sudarshan Kriya) has had a good measure of success in the treatment of depression. You may know more about this by clicking on link number 4 below or email at research@artofliving.org.
If you want to go for ayurvedic treatment for your mother's depression, you may visit AyurvedaGram located at Whitefied, Bangalore. Click on link number 5 to know more about AyurvedaGram.
Finally, in case of extreme emergencies, the Sahaya Vani Helpline, 25497777, reaches out to those seeking help with depression and suicidal tendencies.
I sincerely hope that the above information helps you regarding the treatment of your mother.

about 5 years ago, I started to fall into a really depressive episode. At first I thought it was only because I had a bad break from a relationship but the feelings wouldn't go away even after I got a new girlfriend. It was wrecking my life until a point where it was seriously affecting my work and personal life.
She was very worried but at the same time couldn't understand why I was still sad and thought that I still couldn't let go of my previous relationship. Being the wonderful person that she is, she put aside her feelings and suggested I go for psychiatric evaluation. Many months later and even more anti-depressants, I was not coming close to being better at all.
After doing some research online, I found out the real cause as you described it really makes a lot of sense and purchased this program. The results were simply astonishing. I read this book over three times and put all words in action. Using this method, I've kept my depression at bay ever since. Up to date I'm still living happily with my girlfriend.

My healthcare professional suggested an occasional 0.5 glass of wine or 0.5 a beer for me throughout my being pregnant, no longer some thing more suitable. I honestly were splitting a beer with my husband on occasion, yet no more suitable then once a week or so or maybe then I hardly ever end my 0.5. We get excitement from beer for the flavour and that i'm a large woman (6' tall, one hundred sixty 5 kilos pre-being pregnant) and six oz of low alcohol beer would not get very far :-) i imagine the version is that I talked to my healthcare professional about it and were given the golf eco-friendly gentle. She indicated what change into sturdy and what wasn't. countless what you listen about fetal alcohol syndrome is hype, yet there is a few reality to it. some human beings can't administration themselves so they recommend that no man or woman drink even as pregnant. if you're taking percocet or lortab they could be prescribed by a healthcare professional. i ought to tell the healthcare professional that you're pregnant and they could go with even if it truly is secure that you need to apply.

Be a good son and that should be able to address part of it. I am sure you are doing your best to take care of it. Perhaps taking her out of Blr will help. If she has religious bent of mind, then you may take her or better still send your parents together to some short pilgrimage. Buy her favourite flowers over weekends and place them where she can see or touch them often. Give your time to her. Talk to her often and let her talk her heart out. Moms are special... and we take them for granted too often. She has to feel belonged and loved. Once that happens, she would not need any medicine.
