By that definition, returning kickoffs, scratching lottery tickets, and smelling the morning air are insane.
Einstein also said that he didn't want to be used as a tool to advance atheism.
Einstein was a Spagnozan deist (as I once was), believing in a creator God but not in a personal God concerned with the everyday affairs of humans.

Please quote your source. A lot of stuff gets attributed to Einstein that he never said.
In the first place, Einstien was probably talking about scientific testing, not prayer.
In the second place I don't see the connection between empirical study and prayer. One is based on the human intellect, the other is based on God's power.

Prayer is repeating an action expecting the same result- religious connection- which is still insane.

I am sure this varies from person to person but surely it is not what you are trying to joke about........if you get to experience the moments in prayer I am sure everyday is an experience which you will never wish to do without.............
Once you snap out of prayer you sure do a mesmerising world in fron to of you....prayer helps to get you atleast in peace with yourself for a moment....

Would believing in a man walking on water, the whole world being flooded, that in another dimension there are little red people out to get you and a an all-loving God who let's them get you?
If that's not signs of insanity than I don't know what is.
I think it's more desperation than insanity though, who knows.

Well...
How many people exactly do you know that keep praying despite not, in their eyes, getting the expected (same or different) results?
And thus, I denounce your question moot.

In over 50 years of praying, I have yet to have an unanswered prayer. As I do not want to change that results, it would be insane to stop praying.

serious...
why do you assume that they have an issue with the result they are getting?
it sounds like you assume that they don't get a result, (perhaps you have tried and did not get a satisfactory result?) when most likely, they feel as though they did.
