I hear canadians saying that "I'm balling" for " I'm crying hard" is it me for not knowing the term but i never heard of it in the US before? Do americans say that term apart from Canadians?

i saw it written like "balling" but now that i see it written w/ a 'W' like that now I RECOGNIZE iT! haha

You will occasionally hear the word used in the US. BTW, it's "bawling", as in "He's bawling like a baby over his wrecked Ferrari."

Yes, you mean 'bawling', and Americans use the term. 'Balling' is a word I remember from junior high school, when Xaviera Hollander's books were so popular with the teaching staff that they held seminars and passed around dog-eared copies to the sincere seekers among us. Good grief. And people complain that things are deteriorating.

I've heard Americans say it, but it's not so popular. Usually they say "she's crying her eyes out", but I have heard my Aunt say it when I asked to talk to my cousin; she said "she's in her room balling again" (because her boyfriend broke up with her), so it is used, but not so often in the USA.

I think you mean bawling, not balling. To Bawl is to cry. Obviously you are familiar with the other balling. (rap?)

back in the 60's, balling meant having sex, usually casual sex..(everybody sing!) "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end..."
