My brother brings out the worst in me. Most of the time i am not angry. people tease me but i don't get angry, i don't feel angry when i fail a test. Yet my brother insists on teasing me to the brink of madness, and keeps insisting that its for my own good. Personally i don't get it (its not like i'm 10 years old! i'm in college wtf)?!?!,but he insists, sometimes it makes me just want to leave the house.

Maybe he is right...

Clearly he pushes your buttons. Most siblings do.
I am one of the calmest, most gentle people I know but within 2 minutes, my sister can have me turn into a raging, 2 headed moster with a forked tounge that could poison a demon. REALLY.

It really used to confuse me and frustrate me, and it definately upset me. Over the years I have begun to realise that she is one of the greatest learning opportunities that I have been granted in this life. She knows exactly how to find my weaknesses and insecurities. She pokes them and makes them evident, which angers me and I react. (Big Mistake) That only reinforces my weaknesses and insecurities.

Now i take a different approach. When she pushes my buttons, I seperate my mind from what is happening (takes a little practice but eventually becomes easy) as if I am watching a reality show! I see what makes me angry and I catch it before it rises and I give her the satsfaction. I smile, say nothing (maybe, ha ha, you almost pissed me off but I think I'm over that) and then I leave...even if it's just for a quick walk, so I can process what has just come up and cool my anger before I physically express it and allow it to become anything tangible.

I look at how she upset me, or what she said that pushed me to the edge and I ask myself questions like: Why does that upset me? Is there insecurity or fear behind that? Usually there is, then I have a point from which to work and better myself, not to mention how much this secretly pisses my sister off!!!

Whatever you do, DON'T REACT INFRONT OF HIM. He'll eventually get bored. It realy is a great way to look inside youself and change your weaknesses for strengths!

All the best!

He is pushing your buttons. Don't let him. He may be the type of person that just loves to aggravate people especially you. If you stop letting him get to you (even if you have to hide it) he will stop. When its no longer fun to aggravate you he will have to find someone else.

When he starts this just give him a blank stare. He is doing it for attention. He will stop doing it if he knows you aren't responding.
