Contact local vets and shelters, contact the chip registry, make sure someone is at the contact number the chip company has so you will know if they call, if you can not have someone there make sure you have an answering machine on the line.
Make up posters with a recent photo and the word REWARD in big letters. Any reward is a reward so you do not have to specify amount but a larger amount will have people looking for him.
Hand out flyers to area kids, kids will spot him even if he is being kept in someones house or back yard. Kids notice a new dog in the area faster than adults do.
Leave flyers any place that will let you including vets, shelters, stores, laundries, convience stores, schools will often allow them to be posted as long as you remove them (get permission), places like boys clubs, any place kids gather after school, be aware that most city codes forbid them on power lines or public signs. Put up posters attached to cardboard and sticks like garage sale signs in the yards of people (get permission) who live on busy roads with lots of traffic and intersections.
In my own experience kids are most likely to spot the dog the fastest, they go out of their way to look for them and have access to places we dont go, they cut down alleys, walk along railroad tracks and all over the neighborhood. Even a dog brought inside will go out to potty eventually. Walking the area and calling are good but the more people doing the looking the faster you will find the dog another reason kids work great. If you walk the dog in a specific route be especially sure to keep an eye on that route and any dogs in fences that he is friendly with, he may well go back to see them.
Also make sure the police dept if your in a smaller area is aware, here for example animal control runs through the police dept. It can take hours for them to send animal control out after a dog is called in as roaming, most of the time the dog is long gone by the time they show up, the police have known for hours. Sometimes they will be helpful and call you if a dog fits yours is called in.
Check and see if there is a craigslist in your area and post on it offering a reward. Sometimes a dog will be returned if you say it needs medication, if the dog is given a daily vitamin or supplement your honestly giving a medication just an over the counter one, dont specify what or for what. Most people that pick up a dog planning to keep it dont want one that has medical probs or has to see a vet needing meds.
Make sure you ask the vets to scan any new dogs coming in that fit his discription, most vets do not routinely scan for chips with new clients or dogs, they have no reason to.

Check with all animal shelters and animal rescue org. in and around ur area, notify the local police and the county dog catcher. Put up posters everywhere u can, grocery stores all have bulletin boards for public use. Ask around the neighborhood. Some local radio stations have free lost and found announcements. Place ad in newspaper. A dog as beautiful as a Husky could have been stolen. Hopefully not. Good luck in ur search. Some kind souls still exist, have hope, and offer a reward for safe return of dog.

Try getting the kids around the area involved (kids find it fun to be trying to find a pet and feel that they've done something good if they do find it =])
Take Out a noisy toy (sqeaky toy) And make the noise all around the neighbourhood. OR
Shake a box of the pets favorite treats.
Find a top or some socks that have your scent on, that you havent washed yet (or His favorite pillow or bed), and hang them up outside. If your dog is lost and cant find his way home, he will pick up this scent and follow it.
Ring up the animal shelters and police to see if they have got any news.
Put an add in the newspaper (can sometimes cost) And say that there is a reward but dont state how much.
Good Luck And i hope he comes home soon =] x

If you have him tagged and microchipped, that is huge step in the right direction!
Home Again is a leading chip company, and if they are your company, you may be able to contact them for help. I know our membership included free help with flyers, notifying people/shelters in my area, etc. (Hopefully you did register the chip with your chip company and activate it--and keep it active which usually involves a yearly fee.)
Keep canvassing the area, asking around, calling your local Humane Society and animal control, just in case his tags were lost in his galavanting around or his chip somehow didn't work (very rare). There is a chance he will find his way home on his own as well. so if you have a fenced backyard, perhaps keep it open for him to come back in.
My thoughts are with you (I couldn't imagine if Tidus, my little puggle, was lost!), and I wish that you, your fiance, and your dear husky are all reunited safely soon!!!

Try contacting the local TV stations, and radio stations. Provide them with photos, and a good description of the animal, including his name. You need to reach the most amount of people possible in your area, and the mass media is the best way to do this. Make sure to stay after the media to announce this, and of course, contact them, and thank them, cancelling their efforts once the animal is found. Newspapers are also a good place to get the word out. Good luck!

Make sure you check the animal shelters. They will not always contact you. My Rottweiler got lost and someone removed his tags. I found him at a shelter in Orange Ca. Needed pictures before they would release him to me since he was registered in another city.
There use to be an animal detective in So. California. Not sure he's still in business. Good luck!

Hit up the local shelter in case he got picked up. If he goes to a vets office, his chip will give them the info they need to find you but shelters don't really send their animals to vet offices. It is up to you to go to all the shelters within a 20 mile radius of your house. Keep going to them everyday for a week. Talk to the people at the shelter to let them know they should keep their eyes open for a husky. I wish you the best of luck.

Contact all shelters, vets offices and tell them. Ask if you can bring flyers to hang. Also, contact animal control. Describe the dog, ask if they've seen him. Check any local dog parks and get friends/family involved in the hunt. When you get him back, register him with 24petwatch.

Walk the neighborhood again. Dogs can travel long distances.Yes, contact the pound and the vets offices in your area. Put flyers up at convenience stores, gas stations, etc. I actually walked the alleys when looking for my dog. Alot of people plan on keeping missing pets and will put them in back of their house in the yard. i hope you get the dog back for your boyfriends sake. Take better care of his dog!!!

putting up the posters was a good idea, also contact your local animal shelters or even animal control and see what they each recomend ...you can try police and local vets as well. you can also form a search party with your neighbors, put food outside your house or even a few pieces of your clothes casue animals are so good with a sense of smell, maybe he will come back. thats all i can think of ... hope you find him...good luck!!!!!
