you aren't, and those that say it hurts our taxes when you get cancer are idiots, it takes approximately 2$ to make a pack of smokes, though you pay nearly 6$ for it, yet a fat person can eat themselves to death and no one has regulations on that. And a car puts out more carbon in a 1 mile drive then a smoker puts out in five years. We shouldn't have to 'hide' our smoking any more then obese people have to hide their junk food or long distance commuters have to feel bad about idling in the morning traffic.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...unless you're a cancer survivor, you have asthma (or any other lung condition, for that matter) or you're forced (as a non-smoker) to live with a smoker, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT SECOND HAND SMOKE! I've yet to meet *anyone* who truly was concerned that they'd get cancer because they had to walk past someone standing outside smoking as they were walking into the mall, grocery store, etc. If they really were concerned for their health, they'd wear oxygen masks 24/7 to avoid ALL the harmful pollutants that they breathe in on a regular basis (automobile emissions, the smoke from charcoal grills, factories' smoke stacks, etc.) They're concerned only about the fact that smoke stinks and they don't want to smell like it. (Even I, as a smoker, think it stinks and I don't want to smell it either, but what's a girl to do? LOL) I've smelled PLENTY of bad things in my day that I don't want to smell like (someone who bathes in cheap perfume/cologne, someone who stinks up the office bathroom, someone with horribly bad breath that could be cured by a simple dental procedure or hell, a breath mint, etc. but do you see me walking up to these people saying, "Jesus H. Christ--you smell like a two dollar whore and I don't want to breathe around you. Go home and wash that sh*t off!" NO, I do not. I have more manners than that.

When I used to smoke I thought I hid it very well. Now I know what a laugh that was, when I smell someone who smells of smoke, perfume, and breath mints.
It really does increase public health costs -- who cares if there's a high tax on cigarettes, that doesn't make insurance less expensive for me... yet.
But on a person-to-person basis, besides the odor being personally offensive because it reminds me of my own weakness, which makes me feel ashamed, it does me no harm.

When you smoke the only way you will not harm anyone else is if you don't exhale! The smoke in your home seeps out into the atmosphere and pollutes it so don't say you are smoking in your own home and not harming anyone else! Sweetie if you know that you are buying your own death! Why do it?

If you smoke in your own home, I don't really care, but if you had a guest in your house and you know that they don't smoke, you may not want to smoke in the house, you could probably sit outside with your guest.

Go ahead and smoke at home all you want.
But don't kid yourself - you DO smell like cigarettes. Your house smells, your furniture smells, your clothes smell, your hair smells, the inside of your car smells.
Enjoy.

You are not harming anyone other than your self if you smoke only in your home.

If you can afford and accept the price that smoking takes, then go ahead and light up.
