Hold it almost level almost touching the tap, and swing the bottom down slowly as it fills. It is improper for the glass to actually touch the tap while pouring and it also increases the possibility of cracking the glass. Make sure the tap is on full throughout the pour.- never try to pour slowly as it increases the 'head'

Well now... It actually depends on what kind of beer you are pouring.
1.)Use a 45 degree angle for most lagers, and slowly turn the glass.
2.)A little less of an angle than that for ales so that they have a nice head on them.
3.)Stouts should have a least a two step pour: 1st with a little angle (3 quarters full) and allow that to settle, and 2nd without really an angle (and then let that settle
In any case having the correct glass (always use a glass!) to accompy the beer is key as that can change the taste greatly (most brewers have the own glasses, or will tell you wish one to use)
Hope that helps...if you need more information feel free to ask, but don't want this to be toooo long, lol! :-)

The angle differs based on the beer. In general it should be 45. However a better rule is to pour at an angle that doesn't produce a head or foam. The last two inches turn the glass so that it pours into the middle of the glass producing a good head.

Initially at precisely 32.5 degrees and increase angle 6 degrees per second until glass is full. Everyone else is wrong!

45 degrees is correct. But do remember it must be a continous pour. It would be best to have the tap touching the mug.

45 degree angle is correct, gently open the tap for approx. one second prior to placing glass under flow and as the glass fills gently rotate the glass to upright as it comes to be full.
