I use Sun Shiimer, which you can buy in a shimmery tone or in matte. You can buy it in light/med and dark, and the best thing is, you an instant tan which washes off in the bath,so you can see exactly wear you put it and you dont get streaks or blotches or orange hands. You have to exfoliate to get the best results, and you can even mix it with moisturiser for smoother application or lighter shade, and you can apply it to your face and it looks very glowy and sunkissed. No stress about what you might look like when you wake up in the morning!

Exfoliate first. This removes the dead skin for the most even application and best take. Plus, with the freshest skin treated, the color will last longer.

Fake tanners always turned me some lovely shade of orange. But this past summer I found the Oil of Olay face self-tanner and tanner body lotion. It does a GREAT job on the face (a nice and subtle glow that lasted quite a few days), and my body didn't turn orange or a weird brown-orange. It isn't the cheapest brand on the market, but it is the best for the price. (I've tried spendier ones too, like Lancome.) Plus, the facial moisturizer wasn't really greasy so I didn't feel like I was wearing a mask or break out from it.

For self applications its best to use a body scrub before hand. Don't shave your legs or it may irrate it.
Always wear gloves or you'll get yellow hands, cos the tan sinks in real quickly into the palms of your hands.

if your mixed race then you dont really need a tan.

winters coming, girls with tans look a bit out of place
so dont go to strong if you do.

when applying anything clean skin is good other wise your doing it on dirt which will fall off.
