This doesn't look like you're really asking a question. It looks like you're trying to use a question-and-answer site as a teaching platform. I'm also surprised that turning all one's worries over to the Lord and leaving them in His capable Hands isn't on your list anywhere, when it should be the first thing on there! Stop and think a moment: if we who are Christians don't deal with stress the way our God has taught us to do, how do we think anything else will work? Human reasoning can never hold a candle to : "Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you." (found in I Peter, of course)

The most important step that we can take to reduce stress is to recognize that the way we are choosing to view the situation is what is causing the stress, not the situation itself.
Thing happen, it's how we learn to accept these thing and make the best of them that elevates the stress we feel/create.
This is a difficult concept to let go of. It is a great comfort to see the cause of our discomfort as being externally generated.
It removes all responsibility from us. Strips us of all of our power and leaves us a hapless victim.
What nonsense.

My answer is simple. Fish! Preferably Salmon or tuna or any other fish that is high in Omega-3. They did a study with taxi drivers and they we mean and pushy with the customers and got into arguements and even had road rage. They put these drivers on a fish diet among with tomatoes for a couple of weeks. When they were back on the field they had less stress and laugh when things got rough on the road. Check it out! Hope it helps.

First of all I believe that God is a God of order , He wants us to have balance in life. God expects us to do so much and trust in Him for the rest, most of us don't trust God for the rest, or we don't want to wait on God, so we get the things that we want and then there will be stress, when we work overtime and we do more than our bodies were designed to do.
Sickness and disease come in and then we run to the altar and ask God to heal us , just so that we can go out and do the same thing again.
I don't do what people ask me to do, unless God approves it. If they are mad at me for that, so what ??? All of us have to come to the point , where we want to please God instead of people. Therefore I don't have many friends, but I am in peace every day and I am not at all stressed. Stress is worry and worry is not of God.

In academic terms is how the mortal men reason out for their being. On one hand, under the principles of the saints which are the true wisdom of GOD, prayer is the best answer to what you call stress. But that stress is actually spirited by the legions of demon led by satan giving confusion, vanity and inconfidence which really caused what you call stress. Thus, THE LORD GOD in the Book -TRUE LIFE IN GOD said Love wards off the justice of GOD ready to strike a sinner and this happens when GOD opens the gates of hell to a sinner. Also THE LORD GOD said in this book Love is the semblance of the power of heaven. Thus, when there is LOVE there is no stress. This is how the principles of the saints operate based from the wisdom of GOD leading to eternal life in contrast to the principles of men based on the rationality of men leading to death. THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND LOVE GOD.

I have found Psalm 3 & 4 to be of great comfort to me when I am burdened about something or someone:
Psalm 3:5 - "I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me."
Psalm 4:8 - "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety."
I meditate on these two scriptures when I have trouble sleeping. Not only do they help me fall to sleep, but I feel rested when I awake no matter how many hours of sleep I get. God bless you!!

Hi Suzzanne,
I have learned through the years and tears that my times of disappointments are times for God's appointments in my life. When I am stressed out by things usually out of my control I pray to God anticipating that God will bring me through.
Sometimes God says "yes". Other times he says "No" and most of the time he says "Wait". The last one is usually the hardest one. We often grow through our times of waiting.
Get ready for your next blessing Suzzane. It is on the way.
Take care until your next question.

One of the most comforting scriptures and a very warm invitation from Jesus to those that are stressed.
Mat 11:28 Come to me, all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU. 29 Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. 30 For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”
We do get stressed out and we need to look to Jehovah and His Son Jesus for comfort.
Jehovah is the God of Comfort. We need to pray to Jehovah through Christ Jesus.
Jesus is our wonderful counselor. Isa 9:6-7.
We can relieve stress by reading the Bible and talking to our Spiritual Family who love us very much.
Hope this brings you comfort.http://watchtower.org/e/20050208/article_01.htm

As a Christian, I rely on God, not on myself.
The things you have named are helpful, but are self-reliant.
God, when in a person, enables the person to handle anything that comes their way.
All those things you named, while helpful, can waver.
# 10 really puts the weight on a person's shoulders, as does #5.
