It is really a very important decision. First, have you spoken with her about the differences existing in the religious theory you both value? OK, so the two of you decide that love can overcome any obstacles that occur in your marriage. What religious practices will any children resulting from your mating be the priority? Personally, I believe that once the sexual tension is relieved, there will be unresolvable issues. Why don't you two just have sex, and go from there.

Frankly, I'm always dubious of inter-faith marriages. Yes, there are definite examples where it has worked, my own great great grandparents come to mind, but here's the thing:

Unless you are able to see your partner's faith as one which is equally valid as your own, you have a problem. If, in your heart, you think her faith to be false, you are not respecting who she is. Just how can a relationship which isn't based on respect work out?

It's doubly difficult with Christians and Muslims, especially Christians (I'm sorry I know I'm generalizing, but there's a good deal of truth to what I say) because they may fear for your soul because you practice a faith they consider false and may think it their duty to change your ways.

A friend of mine (Christian) dated a Pagan (Asatru) friend of mine for a couple of months. She treated his beliefs as though they were a fad that he would grow out of. Needless to say, they both gladly broke it off, in the end.

I'm not saying it can't work, but you absolutely must consider these things before you take that step!

I honestly think it will be very difficult to deal with if u too start having problems. mostly because u might have very different standards and views of how life should be. i may be wrong, but it just seems like it would cause problems in the future

Why the hell is religion an issue if you love this woman??!! Don't ruin your life because of imaginary gods. People are way more important than cultural delusions.

that works perfectly... until you have kids.

you don't just have to convince her why not to raise them as christians.. you have to deal with her self righteous parents, too.
