This morning in the shower my neck cracked and then I got very dizzy and fell. Now it is very painful to move my neck at all. What happened? What should I do? My mom doesn't want to take me to the doctor.

I also started breathing very hard uncontrolablely after I fell, kind of like I was hypervenalating.

well i'm only 14, but I actually had to get an ultra sound on my thyroids (owww) because they were producing too much calcium, causing kidney stones (very rare for my age.)

My mom insists I slept on it wrong, even though it didn't hurt at all when I woke up. I think she's waiting to see if it still hurts after a couple of days.

You feel tired and you must sleep for 8 or 10 hours a day... You must sit erect or stand erect to prevent the cracking of your neck. Why? because if your muscles are not in good shape then you will have a muscle contraction or a muscle ache.... Don't watch too long on the television, computers or any radiation that can cause dizzy problems. You must eat a balanced diet, nutritious food, vegetables, and many good foods. Don't eat a food that has an elements like, sodas, hamburgers, frenchfries,Mcdonalds. Why?Because it has a side effects that can cause dizziness, and many others, or even death.... so eat well nutritious foods.... Oh! and rub your neck with "Katinko"..... Thank you

how old are you? u might be having brittle bones..spondylolysis..due to 1) old age. 2) poor calcium in the diet. 3) you are menopause and it is a risk factor for such illness. 4) u are having a stiffneck...and the hyperventilation might be brought about by your anxiety.
it would be best to consult your doctor. he might check on your thyroid function, too. otherwise, you just observe and have a massage. take a rest and dont force yourself too much. see if it alleviates in a few hours. goodluck!

I never heard of something like this before.
But it sounds like do have a ruptured, or misplaced disk, and it's pinching a nerve, sending sort of like shocks to the brain-- which may be causing the nausea. Go to the hospital yourself if you can, they may take you as an emergency

You need to go to the doctors because you really dont know, sounds bad, if you trap a nerve you might need help with it etc, your mom should really take you! Or go on your own if you can.

Sounds to me like you cracked a bone. It'll probably just be a painful for a long while (at least a week) and then get better. Stuff like that's happened to me.

You should definitely go to the doctor. There are too many vital structures in your neck to ignore events like that.

Can't you go to the Doctor buy yourself?
Or you want to get worse then that's when you'll go to the doctor?
