Guilty as charged!
I rationalise that I'm only consuming one lot of carbohydrates if I order a diet coke with chips. Still not healthy I know but it makes me feel better about the treats.....!!

I hate it when people redicule others for having "Diet" anything.
So what if people do order, say, a burger, fries and a diet coke?
It doesn't mean they're trying to even it all out.
It just means they like the taste of diet coke. It tastes different to full fat Coke (yes, I did say full fat...it's better than saying "regular")
I personally don't drink many fizzy drinks but if I order a bags of chips, a sandwich and a bottle of water, it doesn't mean I'm trying to lose weight or whatever.
It means I want chips, a sandwich and a bottle of water!!!

I prefer diet coke to original, not because I know it has less sugar, but just because I like the taste better. So yes, I order diet coke with a big bag of chips that are covered in salt and vinegar! Is it wrong that I wouldn't mind eating that at 10am? Haha.

I love Diet coke with my chips. But I love Diet coke full stop. It has nothing to do wit the sugar free, but everything to do with the taste.

Love my Diet Coke. The Diet Coke zeros out the calories of what you are eating. Didn't you know that? lol

Strange that people will eat a calorie laden plate of food and think that by drinking a diet drink that they are on some sort of careful eating programme. Same with people using diet mixers with the spirits such as vodka, gin etc. The calories in a measure of spirit far outweigh that of the mixer.

Medical studies have shown that diet sodas actually cause you to GAIN weight. You should try to avoid soda all together, but if you must, it is actually better to have a regular soda instead of diet.
