I'm guessing your mom doesn't like Rachel Ray for these possible reasons:
1) She appears too amped up on caffeine when she's in front of the camera.
2) She recently bloated up in weight.
3) She has no formal chef's training (most of the celebrity chef's have training from a cooking school or academy) yet she gets her own show. While plenty of other celebrity chefs with professional training don't get as much attention as Rachel Ray does.

Because she's annoying and can't cook?
You'd have to ask your Mom to be sure, but those are the reasons I don't care for Ray's shows. (Maybe I'd like Rachel in a private setting. I don't know. People are different when a camera points at them.)

No telling from here maybe cause she was fat and lost weight I think it best if you ask her some people just grade on others nerves . I find her tolerable and sometimes interesting but I always wear sunglasses to protect my eyes from those eternal teeth .

Why don't you ask her.
She probably doesnt like her (like a lot of people) because she's so...chipper and annoying. don't get me wrong, she has great meal ideas..but she probably just irks her.

Maybe she is jealous of her. That's why I didn't like her at first. But I got over it and now I love watching her show.
