Non-Catholics are rarely schooled in understanding the full extent of the mystery of Jesus' incarnation.
The fact that God would have waited for the consent of a young Jewish girl for permission to send his son into the world, so God could save us, is a concept that many people find impossible to accept ... even though it is absolutely scriptural and true.
The repercussions of Mary's voluntary consent are similarly difficult for the unschooled to properly appreciate ... especially when the bible spends so little time explaining it for us.
Suffice it to say that God created Mary as a great gift to his son Jesus, who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords ... and any gift good enough for Jesus should be more than good enough for the rest of us.
Jesus appreciates his mom. He honors her, he respects her, and he recognizes Mary's essential role in his salvific work ... and those who profess to be Christian should emulate Jesus, whenever possible.
Anyone who fails to appreciate this, who attempts to denigrate the character of the Blessed Virgin in order to bring disrepute upon her, upon Catholics, or upon the Catholic church, also disrespects Jesus, and is likely to have a lot of explaining to do, come Judgment Day.

How's this:
Considering that God is a trinity, Holy Spirit, father and Son, is the Blessed Virgin not married to the others as well?
I cannot find in my Bible (King James Version) that the "Trinity" needs intercession to perform miracles.
When the disciples asked: "How shall we pray?"
Jesus' answer was the Lords Prayer (said in private, not through intercession).
The only unforgivable sin is one against the Holy Spirit, which is, professing that God does not exist against your better knowledge and never asking for forgiveness. Like Paul on the road to Damascus. He was forgiven without intercession.

Enough with the inaccuracies about the Pharisees already. The Christian bible flat out lies about who they were and what they were like.
First of all, we were given on Mt. Sinai NOT to look at any miracles that any man does who claims to be the Messiah, because even the Egyptians could raise the dead, several Jewish sages named in the Torah raised the dead long before Jesus, AND the anti-Messiah in the last days is also supposed to use miracles to convince people that he is the Messiah.
For those reasons and more, we are NOT to look at any miracles whatsoever done by any man claiming to be the Messiah, and that includes Jesus, and that would be why the Pharisees refused to take the miracles into consideration.
The one and ONLY condition that the Messiah must show in order to prove he is the Messiah, is the fulfilling of ALL of the prophecies IN HIS LIFETIME.
For instance:
1. Jews ingathered. The opposite happened after Jesus.
2. The Messiah rules from the Temple in Jerusalem. The opposite happened after Jesus. The Temple was torn down, and Jesus never ruled from it.
3. No more war. Jesus did not fulfill this prophecy during his lifetime, nor has it been fulfilled afterwards.
4. No more illness. Same as above.
5. Universal Knowledge of God so that no man needs to ever teach another again. Jesus failed to fulfill this prophecy, as evidenced by the fact that we are here today on these boards and all over the world, arguing about religion, wars over religion, etc.
6. The Messiah is to be from the lineage of King David. That is a TRIBAL lineage, and tribal lineage is handed down ONLY by the father. Not by the mother, who hands down being Jewish but not the tribe to her children. Both Joseph and Mary deny in the New Testament that Joseph is the father of Jesus, therefore Jesus's lineage is unknown, disqualifying him from being the Messiah. There is not now, and never has been, a prophecy that the Messiah is born of a human virgin woman and a god - this comes from ancient paganism, not Judaism, and the Church incorporated it, and twists Jewish scripture and deliberately mistranslates verses to say "virgin" etc. when they neither say that nor mean it, and never have.
There are approximately 10 other prophecies that the real Messiah will fulfill the one and only time he comes, and these are to be fulfilled DURING HIS LIFETIME. There is no "second coming" in Judaism, the Church invented this concept just like it invented the hundreds of fake prophecies it tried to back-engineer into the Torah that do not exist. There are only about 16 actual prophecies for the Messiah, and Jesus did not fulfill any of them. Not ONE.
As for the Pharisees, perhaps it is becoming a bit more clear as to why they rejected Jesus as the Messiah. No miracles, nothing but fulfilling the prophecies (the actual prophecies, given by God on Mt. Sinai, not the ones the church invented). This is the ONLY acceptable proof of any man's claim that he is the Messiah. If he doesn't fulfill the prophecies during his lifetime, then he wasn't the Messiah, plain and simple.
Also concerning the Pharisees, they were NOT corrupted, and they were NOT blind. The Sadducees were the ones who were corrupted, in the pockets of Rome, accepting bribes and even turning over their fellow Jews to Romans for pay and other perks. The Sadduccees were the rich man's representatives, and that's all they cared about, and they were corrupt to the core.
The Pharisees were the everyday man's representatives. They took care to make sure that the widows and orphans were cared for, they made sure that the everyday person had their needs represented and they were NOT corrupted.
Isn't it disgusting how the New Testament lies, and turns the truth upside down. Do you know how sick we Jews get of hearing these lies over and over and over about our ancestors? Do any of you ever investigate ANYTHING told to you in the New Testament? It sure wouldn't take much research to discover the truth about things like this.
That's all I have to say about that. If anyone would like to actually learn the real prophecies that the real Messiah will fulfill, and discover why "the jews rejected their messiah because they were expecting a warrior messiah and got a peacemaker" is an out-and-out lie (the Messiah is to bring eternal peace to the world, that IS what we are expecting, remember?), and if you'd like to learn the actual circumstances of the real Messiah's birth, life, and death, please visit the following links, and you'll know more than 99% of Christians about it:

Martin Luther additionally believed in Christ's presence in the Eucharist besides as in the Sacrament of Confession. he's given so lots greater credit than he's due. All he did became plant the seed. He did no longer do lots different than translate the Bible into German, Sola Scriptura and Sola Feda. different than that, he became a competent Catholic. He did no longer desire to flow away the Church, he became making plans to alter it from the interior, yet to to nationalism and different situations, he had to flow away the Church.

I believe the answer can (AND SHOULD) be found in a couple passages in the Bible.
First, the last words we ever hear Mary say in scripture, John 2:5 His mother said to the servants, whatever He says, do it.
Second Jesus's Mother and brothers come to him, and try to get his attention. Someone tells Jesus that they are outside. Instead of rushing out to see her blessedness, He responds with these words. Luke 8:21 But he answered and said to them, My mother and my brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it.
Having said that, As non catholic christians, we should have a respect for Mary. The Bible calls her blessed among all women, and says some pretty cool things about her. But she's no diety. Also, the Bible is pretty clear about not trying to communicate to the dead.
