I chew and spit my food out almost all the time, or i just don't eat, or eat a lot. If I do eat i feel guilty, and feel like I did somthing wrong. Do i have an eating disorder? I don't want to talk to m parents about it, they wouldn't understand. Should I talk to my big in my sorority, she had an eating disorder once.? We're really close and we think of each other as a real older sister & real little sister. But I'm scared and I don't kno what I should do, or how they will react? I don't wan't them to send me anywhere I just want to know if I have a problem? U kno what I mean?

Go ahead and tell her. Sorority sisters will keep it cool. They protect their own. You are going to have to tell someone. Or you might die like Karen Carpenter. The sooner you get help the less damage to your heart and also the easier it will be to kick the habit.

Go to the doctor. It doesn't even have to be a therapist, even your regular doctor. Tell them what's going on like you are here.

If they recommend you to a therapist give it a shot. If it's not your cup of tea, there really isn't a commitment. If you really think you could benifit from seeing them, stay. It sounds like you know yourself. You know there is something wrong, and it's scary. That's a good sign. It's one step closer to stopping this irregular eating pattern.

Everything is okay. Just take a deep breath and call your doctor tomorrow.

Don't have access to a doctor? See someone at school. There has to be a nurse of some sort that can help you... at least point you in the right direction.

Best of luck to you! :)

Well, it's definitely a problem, given that it's affecting you negatively, psychologically and physically. The problem lies beyond food, however. You are ashamed of something about yourself, whether it be your appearance or something that has happened in the past or even currently. You're now wanting to perfect something to make up for it. But all the while there is nothing there to perfect. Staying thin isn't going to make you happy, because for one you'll never get to a physical state that you'll be completely happy with and also because your appearance isn't even the problem to begin with. If you'd like to talk more about it, send me an e-mail. I also have instant messengers, so let me know if you'd like to talk there (it'd be easier that way).

Yeah, you kinda have a problem. Talk to people you trust, however, also need to seek help from a Doctor as well. In the event you don't want your parents to find out, you can ask your Doctor to keep it confidential between you and him, it's like a privacy/confidentiality act the Doctor has to follow if you ask for it.

From your name, I would assume you may be a college student? If so, there are great resources and local medical centers on campus that you can get assistance from. DO NOT wait to get help, you could seriously put yourself in danger!

just know what you are eating. you need to eat, so pick things that taste good and are good for you. fruit has natural sugars that arn't bad for you like the sugars in everything else. salads, healthy soups, anything that you like.

you don't have so much of a disorder as a regret. what you are eating you know is bad for you and you feel bad when you eat it. eating foods that are both good for you and ones you like will be great!
