Here's one I recently saw:

"How does Satan SPECIFICALLY tempt us? You could say he tempts us with drugs and porn, etc. But how specifically does he tempt us? You could say he uses another person, but how is that person tempted? Ultimately, it would have to have come from either Satan or one of his demons."

"So, does Satan TELEPATHICALLY communicate with us? Can he telepathically put thoughts in our heads to suggest us to do stuff?"

Here is my rebuttal:

If God is all powerful, then he can do whatever he wants, right? Satan is a fallen angel. God created him with special powers that humans cannot posses. To say that it would be impossible for Satan to have telepathic powers would be to say that it would be impossible for God to create a being with telepathic powers.

All this atheist argument is doing is phrasing the facts in a bad way.

Your thoughts?

Nope.
The Atheist arguement is that Satan does not exist.
You gave no example to how he can exist.
Telepathic powers? Come on, be serious!

How do you get from that, that the asker is an Atheist?...unless you know the person. I would have taken the question to be from someone who actually believes in the existence of Satan. Unless it's complete sarcasm (I have trouble picking that up in writing sometimes).

If I were to answer the question he posed, I would have to say, yes, he is 100% right. That's exactly what I believe. Satan can put thoughts in a person's head. That doesn't mean that the person is powerless against them, or that Satan actually has any control over anyone's actions. So I also agree with your rebuttal.

the atheist isn't making an argument, he;s asking a question. To say that its impossible for satan to have telepathic in NO WAY means that it's impossible for god to create a being with such powers. it simply means he didn't make satan that way.

A. This is only true is there is a god and/or a satan.

B. If this god is all powerful, he could at least show his face rather then based on blind faith.

C. There are no facts in god or satan.

Satan is us, our lower, material nature as opposed to our higher spiritual nature. Get rid of all humans and there is no Satan. No one makes another person do anything except her or himself. Each person is accountable for the decisions s/he makes, no one else. It's ludicrously irresponsible to put the blame on something else, especially a symbolic being. Once we reach the age of accountability, in the worse case scenario, we have a choice, even if it is to die. We are accountable for our own thoughts and actions. We are, we are, we are responsible. We cannot run away from it. No one, no one, no one else is.

Heck, I can create a better villian than Satan myself and give him special powers that humans cannot possess. Your reasoning is a stretch to say the very least.

Sounds like you're saying that Satan IS a god. He'd have to be, to be able to sway people from God.

atheists complicate what is so simple...........Satan is the evil force in the world and God is the good force....simple as that...satan doesn have just one special way of tempting people....he gets to us in every which way we can't even imagine....he knows exactly what he is doing and he know exactly what to do to lure us into sin......he works in this world as we speak....god is the only force that can win over him.....love is the only weapon against him.....god bless

Uh, what "facts" are you referring to? The "fact" that Satan and God exist in the first place? Sorry, that's called mythology.

But to answer your question, you haven't rebutted anything. You're just using another form of argument from ignorance. "I don't know how it could happen. God is all-powerful, so there." You might as well stick your tongue out, cover your ears and chant, "La la la la la la la la."

I appreciate the rebuttal. Not bad.

Personally, I think Satan is to busy, even if he in telepathic, to tempt us all. Truth is, flesh is sinful, in essence, we tempt ourselves.
