Because as much as women don't realize it, a man who shows his emotions all the time become the "such a great friend". Most women SAY they want a sensitive guy, but always end up with the introvert....while surrounded by sensitive guys that go into the "just friends category". Therefore, there is no benefit to showing your feelings to women, unless you just want to be her friend.

It could be anything. A couple ideas that pop right into my head are the desire to not appear weak, to maintain control of themselves, and possibly the fear of rejection.
I do not show my emotions to anyone because I prefer to maintain control of myself at all times. I simply don't get emotional.

Guys, in general, aren't very 'in touch' with their emotions, and they like it that way. Guys like to keep things simple, and not waste a bunch of time wondering about how they feel about something, and if what they feel is right or wrong. Guys go with their gut instinct and never look back.
Why do girls have to tell guys every little damn thing they feel?

Because Society teaches them that showing emotion is unmanly, and a sign of weakness.

it's often drumed into them from a young age .i remember i use to watch guys at school sucking up to women and think "piss weak!", some guys just see it as a sign of weakness. now i'm older i envy those that don't.
