Why then there is war going on for decades in Israel / Lebanon ?
Is it a case of convenience or failed attempts towards peace.I am sure both Muslims and Christians can explain this better.

It is love one another as I have loved you. Love your neighbor as yourself. There are certain situations that the Bible gives us the right to defend ourselves. One of the instances is when God gave the Holy Land to the Jews. It is their land and no one has the right to take it away from them. The Jewish people are the only race that God ever gave land to. We are instructed to never let any one divide it up, and never let anyone give it to any one else. It belongs to the Jews! There is a righteous anger, and we are instructed to fight the good fight. There are times that we must pick up the armor and fight. When someone has come into your home and is threating to kill your family, you are given the permission to defend yourself and your family. War is another thing that is justified in the scriptures. If we would not have gone to war in WWII we would have been over taken by a mad man, named Hilter, and the Japs. Now we are at war, to stop Saddam from killing millions of people. Most people are not aware of all of the people that he torchered and mamed. He would wipe out entire towns in Iraq. It would have been a sin if we had the strength to stop this man, but turned away and let him continue to murder, at that point we would have been accountable for the murders, because we did nothing. The Israel people are always being forced to protect their homeland from people that are trying to kill them and take it away from them. It is a six thousand year old battle, the Muslims want to take the place of the free son and the only true heir of Abraham. They forget that Ishamel was born from a slave and he too was a slave. Back then slaves were nothing more than property, like a mule, and for some strange reason they think that they have a right to be called the heir of Abraham. Every one knows that you would not give your property to a slave over your son, born to you by your wife. But for some reason the Muslims have trouble understanding this. I think they just don't want to accept the fact that they are from the slave race, and the Jews are from the free, or the Chosen race. So they (the Muslims) have started a six thousand year old war. They kill, steal and try to destroy everything that belongs to Isaac,(the Jews) the true heir to the throne. This is brought on by Jealousy, and selfishness. and lack of knowledge. The scripture also says that their hand will be against the world and the worlds hand will be against the Muslims. Sounds pretty accurate to me.

Actually, Jesus said the most important commandment is to love ***God*** with your whole heart and soul. It was the Apostate Paul who said the most important thing was to love your neighbor . This is just one of the many things Paul changed regarding from the teachings of Jesus.

Oh, the reason there is all that fighting in those places is because those people don't follow either of the above teachings.

Love thy neighbor as thy self. Is the second great commandment. Love thy Father which is in Heaven Is the first. It's people who can't seem to keep these commandments who start wars.

No convincing replies again??
Well it is the promised land and no tresspassers are allowed..simple reason to prolong hostilities. It is a pity that both muslims and christians are not doing much about this. In fact it has become the way of life for the people in this region.

Christians, Muslims and many other religions share in one shape or form the rule of loving thy neighbor. But they also believe that killing in the name of religion is more important. Look at the Crusades. Look at when the white man came to America. Look at what's going on in the Middle East.

What about Jews. you forgot to mention one of the most important religions involved. the reason there is no peace is because Muslims are a plague on earth and hate everything not Muslim. otherwise peace would have been achieved long ago and there would be synagogue's and churches in Saudi Arabia and Iran. as there are mosques inside of Jewish Israel.

The First commandment and the First law of Islam is.. There is only 1 God. Thou shalt not have any God's before me. As for Israel/Palastinian conflicts, that's political not religious.

No, Jesus said to love God first of all, and to love your neighbor as yourself second of all.

Hey, Ahmed, you are distorting the Bible! That's not very holy, if that's how you Moslems play I can see why the world doesn't trust you.
OK, so now you changed your name to Aziz! You are one slick guy, aren't you? You better not play like that with God because He's for real and He doesn't like liars.

Israel and Lebanon is mostly non Christian people. They don't follow God's commandments. The Jewish people follow God's commands somewhat. But they are not saved thru Christ unless they accept Him as their personal Savior; there are Jewish Christians in Israel. However, the Lebanese are not Christians nor Jewish and they don't follow the commandments.

If the authority, in this case God, says we are to love even our enemies; to esteem others greater than ourselves, this convicts the ones who are motivated by a spirit of hatred.

Those with the heart of stone will hate and fight.
