It depends on how you define "soul". If "soul" is simply a life principle, and death is separation of the soul from the body, then animals have a soul. What we do know for certain however is that animals do not have an immortal soul. They are part of the natural environment, and just like other parts of the natural world, you can't take them with you. When they die they cease to exist.

baterica have virus have souls too, the plants have souls. The cockroaches have souls.
