okay so long story short.
my friend and i egged a house.
then he dropped me off.
on his way home, he got a call on his cell phone from the police but it said it was a private caller and it was all like asking about egging and stuff.
but like, how would the police get his cell phone number?!
it's not even under his name, it's under his mom's name.
and when they called they addressed him by his nickname, not his full name.
they didn't even ask his last name.
and then they asked if he was with me and they didn't even say my last name. how would they even know that i was with him!?
and then they called his house and they called that private too.
does this story sound a little fishy?
because we think our friends that knew we were doing this called and pretended to be the police just to freak us out.

your friends are playing a joke on you!
if the cops wanted you, they would of come to your houses to discuss things. If they call back, say" your burning my minutes, if you have something to discuss with me, come on over to my house, you know where I live"

FIshy....

Back in the days before cell phones, we had pagers. And wrong numbers abounded. Pagers were a great way for druggies to contact their connections, and they'd often get the wrong number.

Whenever my pager went off with a number I didn't recognize, I'c call back, just in case it was work-related. But I'd tell them, "This is Sergeant Xenos of the Narcotics Squad, did you page me?"

Often, I'd get a from a hang-up. So, yeah, I'm not really a cop, but it was easy to say that I was. Oh, yeah, and dialing *67 before dialing the number does block my number on their caller ID.

Get my drift?

haha. Its definetly your friends calling. The police don't just call cell phones and use nicknames. Now go slap your friends around for messing with you.

Its your friends. If it were the cops you'd be in huge trouble right now and probably have no time to post this question.

Sounds like your friends to me. If it were the cops and they were onto you, they would have done more than called.
