Stick one him, right between the eyes. You might get your head kicked in after (chances are slim because of the shock tactic) but he'll be doing it with a broken nose.
Even if he does beat you to a pulp he'll have new found respect for you afterwards and he'll leave you well alone.
Bullies only pick on people who they think are incapable of looking after themselves. You watch the shock on their faces when you lamp them right in the mush. If they don't walk away after that try to hit them in face as hard and as much as you can. Then they'll have to spend two weeks explaining how they got blackeyes to everybody who looks at them.
Try it. The only thing I was good at, at school, was getting picked on. Until I worked this out.

I have been in the position when I really did want to kill my brother and what stopped me I don't know, we used to hate each other like you would not believe, I have not seen him now for 30 years and that suits me fine.

Be nice to him and hug him.
It will make him feel really guilty and then he will be really nice to you.
