Theres a girl i rhave known for past 5 years, i think im in love with her, but i am unsure of her feelings. i am scared to go further incase i distroy a nice relationship as it is. How can i found out her feeling towards me, perhaps she just likes having a male freind and does not want any more. perhaps im looking for something that just is not there. help.

make a joke like saying,,,If you were in love with me..what would you do...etc--like a game maybe!....see her reactions!..If she reacts awkwardly or nervous or does nothing emotionally...well you´ll know the answer...And you see it´s a game is not going to hurt her..Many times we just want male friends that´s all!..Nothing will harm your friendship...

You've known her that long and your worried about messing things up. If you can't ask her some of these questions, how did you stick with her that long? Your never going to know if you don't ask. how about a question like . What do you think about friends who have a romantic relationship? You might as well ask. Then go from there. the worst that happens is she says no with you two, but i can't see her not being your friend. , I did kind of the same thing, and she decided to see about actually dating. It didn't get very far as we make better friends than lovers, if it makes sense, we knew each other too well, there was no mystery, not much to learn, I still see her. She's married now and happy, and we are still friends..

You are going to have to bite the bullet and have a serious conversation with her. You might ask where she sees your friendship going? I would hesitate to lay all your feelings on the table because that might scare her. Just let her know that you see a future and wonder if she has ever thought the same thing. Be sure to tell her also that if she does not feel the same way that it is ok and you value your friendship and dont want that to change in anyway.
