i have a 1993 caddy sts with on-diagnostics, a code reads electronic spark timing siganl problem, whats that?

It could be a problem with the spark knock sensor. This is a sensor that senses when the motor knocks as with too much advance in the timing. I think its called an ESC sensor and a code. If that is what code you're talking about, it used to be a new sensor and pigtail required to fix it. I'm not sure though, as you didn't say what the code number was.
