I need idols. How is anyone to know I'm an evil pagan with out idols? Should I get a statue or something? I thought about using a cross or something but you know, the Christians all ready have dibs on that. So I need an idol. Any suggestions?

Hel is spelled with one "L". Read up on Norse Lore.
Who said I am mocking God? I'm not. I'm mocking narrow minded Christians who spread lies about my religion. BIG difference

Really yellow? Because they sure stole a lot of our stuff. Read the actual orginal texts of your precious Bible. The term Hell is not found. It was called something completly different. The word Hell is Norse. Typcial Christians. You don't even know your own religion's history

Hehe. You know... it's funny, I have a statue of Thor, a statue of Freyja (my wife's), we have a wooden Yggdrasil carving, I have a custom painting of Mjollnir done by an artist I know, a custom painting of Yggdrasil by the same artist... I have a big Thor statue... I have statues that are generically "Viking"...
And oddly enough... I don't worship any of them.
Am I doing something wrong? ;)

I didn't even have to read the responses- I just read yours. I'm amused by people today (them, not you- though the question is great too.)
I'll make you an idol if you like - but I think watching American Idol should fill all your idol worshipping needs.
We all know how evil and blasphemous that show is.
Just go get an US magazine, cut out pictures of the Hollywood stars and paste them to the wall.

The "false idol" is a Judeo-Christian concept (the golden calf). If one is not a Christian, Jew, or, presumably, Muslim, then the idea does not apply. A polytheist, Pagan, Wiccan, Magician, or any other believer in an alternative religion is assumedly free to worship whatever object he or she wishes and without fear, I would imagine. Negatives and taboos in religion are derived for the purpose of intimidation and to exert power over the frightened masses. One who does not submit to such controls may express his/herself in any manner preferred, inclusive of worshiping idols...

Aphrodite of Knidos. She's an attractive naked Goddess statue, originally produced on the island of Knidos in bronze, and copied in a Roman marble piece. Surely they can reduce it to the size of a pendant, though the typical population might think you are just trendy. Where could you go wrong?

try a pentagram it scares the hell out of all the Christians. Also try getting a good deck of tarot cards and display them in you home. I just let everyone know that i am a evil pagan by playing some good goth music.

• Edit: Cinthia, I'm not sure if you were asking me, or H. D. about the Green Man gift but I'll answer anyway (just in case). A Green Man would make a GREAT present for your friend that is sure to warm the cockles of his druidic heart - Right on Cinthia!

Yeah kind of pot calling the kettle black there, I never thought of that. Ive never seen anyone other than the christians worshiping idols, perhaps buddhists.
I worship Eric Idle, will that do? he's a comedy legend!

No problem, just hang a two-pound carved silver hammer around your neck, hack a humanoid one-eyed shape out of wood, stick horns to his helmet and voila, there you go, pretty idols to worship.
Just get on your knees in front of them, murmur incoherently, wail, speak in tongues if you have to (yeah, they stole that one, too).
But be careful, I heard Thor's getting pretty good with his lightning bolt aim ;) And Odin would probably laugh so hard he'd spill his other eye, too.

my sweet sweet friend, what is happening to you in here? you are becoming angry. although you have every right to be. there are many nasty fundies in here. i was called some vile names yesterday by some, but you can't let them get to you, it only feeds into their misconception of what we are.
i have found that taking a non aggressive approach to educating them when they ask absurd and offensive questions seems to shut them up for a while, and some of them even change their opinions of us into something more neutral.
you're a kind, intelligent person and that's what we love about you. don't let crazy fundies take that away from you or us.

I like statues of Isis. But, she's shown as a winged female...much like angels.
Oh, wait! I just saw a necklace/pendant called the star of Venus (or something like that) and it's the five-pointed star, upright with some other lines and some stone (aquamarine or amethyst-?) in the middle.
Or, I saw this ring, it had a 'tree-of-life' with the five-pointed star through it. Funny, it represents the feminine (star) and life (tree) but everyone will think it's evil b/c they'll see the pentagram and completely misinterpret it.
