Will latinos ever try to gain a "better life" the right way?

Before you latinos start calling me a racist think about this....if you took all the passion and unity that millions of you recently showed in your protests and applied that to reforming your own countries governments instead of trying to change ours you could accomplish so much that you wouldnt NEED to come here!!!!!! think about it mexico has more billionaires than the U.S. and has vast natural resources. WHY don't you try to fix your own countries??

Ijust think that by taking the "easy" way out and coming here instead of trying to fix their own countries they condemn the children and grandchildren of their nations to suffer the same circumstances that have driven them to come here.

I'll keep this answer focused on Mexico.

You are absolutely right! Mexico has tremendous natural resources and human resources as well. Everyone knows how hard the undocumented immigrants work every day. Imagine, if they could put that much effort into building up their own country!

The problem is that the MEXICAN GOVERNMENT is so CORRUPT that anyone trying to better themselves gets immediately mowed down by organized crime & the local authorities (one in the same, in most cases). This effectively means there are no opportunities for upward mobility in Mexico.

Mexico could be such a great nation if their 'revolutionaries' would STAY THERE & STAND UP instead of coming here & whining.

Oh well.

Cause money is the root of all kinds of evil. Most only think about themselves and they are greedy. They don't take education wisely look at most of the teenagers and a lot of adults all they want to do is the fast lane, make new gangs and start drama. That is what i see working for a school dist these kids are inter district transfers. They cant handle the tough hood they live in so they ask momma to let them go to a good dist and when they get their they start a gang.

What i am trying to say is they don't know or want change they just want it their way or nothing. And in respond to xcano 13 up above post this is not mexicos country. Why do that when it is so much easier to come here illegally and trash our country and get hand outs to boot. If they were patriots of their own country they would be staying there and fighting to make change.

Among other things, the United States has created economic conditions for Mexican farmers which leave them no other choice than to migrate here for work. NAFTA put countless Mexican farmers out of work.

Actually thousands of Latinos do it the right every year. And contribute in many many differnt ways. And you do realize that the "you" meaning those reading this, in your question are probably all citizens and and have been since birth. The U.S. is our country.

I just posted an answer 1/2 hour ago, saying the exact same thing.

Mexicans need to picket their own country of citizenship....not ours.

(The truth is that they do it here, because they CAN do it, without getting murdered later that night). They are afraid to demonstrate.

I can only see one remedy...that the USA annexes Mexico to remove their corruption.
