Paul spells out that in 1 Cor. 6:19-20 that our bodies are temples to the Holy Spirit and not to defile them.

You can pray, but you are far less likely to receive the promptings of the Holy Spirit than if you were sober.

Yes, it's acceptable to pray while drunk or in any other state of mind. Prayer is simply talking to God. In the New Testament, there's a simple verse that says "pray constantly" (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Here's a few verses before and after that one so it's not being taken out of context:

"And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all. Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. "

I think any sincere prayer is acceptable to God no matter what our, uh, spiritual condition.
But be careful what you pray for. If you pray hard enough, God may allow you to get it, possibly to keep you from losing faith at the moment.
If you pray for one more beer, at least don't make that the only prayer you ever pray to God.
I think it's ok to pray for anything. The Holy Spirit sorts it all out.

Yes, it is acceptable to pray while drunk, but if you are drinking in a bar never expect Jesus to buy the next round.

Can a drunk person actually pray?
I mean, he/she can say the words, but is there going to be a spiritual connection? I really don't think so.
