Why wouldn't Got bet on something that was already going to happen... Like the BoSox winning the world series? Plus who would he be betting and why?

God doesn't bet. Re-read the account. God is in complete control. There is no bet. But that is even more problematic. God initiated the test. The question is do you trust God? With the life of your children? With your life? All of reality is really all about the Triune God of the Bible. He commands us to come to Him on His terms not on our terms.
